A bunny...

1) Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker were actually recruited by the late Prime (Sentinel or whoever was in charge before Optimus) to go undercover in the Decepticon faction to help take it down from the inside. Should just have been a matter of time. Or so they were told. Except the Prime was killed and that wouldn't have been a problem if he hadn't been so fragging secretive about the whole thing. Only a handful of mechs knew. And all of them were either dead or MIA by the time the Autobots recovered a semblance of hierarchy. With no one to vouch for them (they were already pretty much infamous Decepticons) they decided to stay where they were and see where that would lead them, while leaking info to the Autobots as much as they could without giving themselves away.
However ever since they woke up on Earth, TC found it harder and harder to maintain the charade. Mainly because he had to worry about seeing his brother getting injured or almost killed, sometimes as a result of his own actions.
So they were trying to find a way to convince the Autobots they were willing to defect but during a battle, TC snapped when seeing a Decepticon tower over a badly injured Bluestreak and he literally tore into the unfortunate 'con who dared hurt his "baby-brother" (who by the way never knew he had a co-creation).

2) For what I've been able to see, through what I remember of G1 or the comics I managed to get my hands upon, the Transformers' main (and only?) diet is energon. So, maybe it can be declined in low-grade, high-grade (or whatever) of variable quality. But still. It seems a bit ... boring.
So how exactly some of the TF would react about the variety of food humans seem to be able to eat. And I'm not even talking about the multitude of reciepes, both "traditionnal" and innovative.
Yes they know humans eat and yes they know they have to inger certain doses of vitamins, proteins ... And most bots are happy to leave it at that.
But others find fascinating that the same nutrients could be found in ... say meat or fish (and why are some cooked and others eaten raw?) or fruits or vegetables. And if you can find the same things in those products, why are they so different both in shape and taste?
Transformers drink energon because they need to. They sometimes indulge in high-grade but, overall, energon remains a simple mean of sustenance.
So they are puzzled that humans can gorge themselves with junk-food which doesn't really provide anything necessary to their functionning. Or eat just because they feel like it.

 ??? : uh ... Spike? What's this?
Spike : ... Food.
??? : But ... Wasn't food the stuff you were eating the day before?
Spike : Yeah. But this is food too.
??? : But it doesn't even look like your other food... And my scans show it contains very little nutrients you humans need and way too much glucides and lipids and ... Why are you even eating that?

3) ???? : I am NOT promoting to officer/squad leader a mech whose most detailed report ever was "We came, we saw, we kicked aft !"
