I've always like the idea of Seekers being obsessive of sparklings. It brings up the possibility that, in seeker society, seekers bond at a relatively young age and have large families. Families could also be "matriarchal" in the sense that the spark-bearer/mother in a bonded couple would be the head of the family instead of the sire/father.
