I really like that fifth idea, though I wonder, wouldn't some humans try stealing what info the Autobots had and then have their govt help them in repeating the process? That way they can avoid the Decepticons all together.

Then again, we could probably have some part of the group go to the Decepticons, others steal info fr/Autobots, and maybe a few actually manage to convince the Autobots that they should do it to help their cause.
