Alhtough Perceptor is one of my least favourite Transformers, your story bunnies with him sound highly pleasing.
If you'd like, you can use any of my bunnies with the character of your choice. Perceptor's my favorite so he's the one that usually sneaks in there.

Post movie as in 2007 movie? *thinks* That could work. They could have stolen somehow gotten a hold of personality programs... would explain how these new bots have the same names and basic personalities as the G1 characters. Or do you mean TF:TM? That could also work.

Wonder how they would convince Red Alert to agree to that...

8. Could coincide with Bonecrusher's loyality to Megatron more important then his fellow Constructicons that he would be the only one with no qualms in joining the battle.
Then when Bonecrusher is killed...
Human that knows what the Constructicons are: "Uh, our... 'equipment' seems to be panicking over something." Human that doesn't: "Must be one heck of a malfunction."
11. OK thinking Red Alert and Inferno crossed with My Name is Earl. As in Earl and Randy. :)
