one this time

So there's been this string of 'seeker-Datsun' related stories. We know this.

Its said that Seekers come in trines and seeker-kin/related do as well.

What's brought this up. I'm doing this essay/speech thing on semis/tractortrailers/lorrys/18-wheerls. After getting into it, I came across 'fleets'. Usually large amounts of these large trucks parked at truck stops or stations. I was thinking since Seekers/Datsun's are given more 'avian' like natures etc etc. . .needless to say 'fleet' just did it for me.

I can imagine them being migrateory-like, though usually more solitary in nature, and for whatever reason all come together for whatever reason like various forms of birds that flock toward the south during winter. Though obviously they'd be flightless.

. . .yeah *has no idea how to set out tags w/ this*

I just got this picture of Optimus, Hoist, and Grapple suddenly leaving the Ark randomly and joining a convoy to some unknown reason, to the rest of the ark, only to find him with a bunch of other truckformers getting together at some random spot that only makes sense to them.

LOL, that's the best mental image ever. I hope to see this bunny converted to fic

/dons safari hat and horrible accent

The ever elusive Transport model, most commonly called by the nickname Big Rig, are seen as a normally solitary model. Preferring to keep to itself, but has no qualms in becoming part of a larger group of mixed models. It is very rare to see more then four such types in a group outside of a certain time of the Vorn.

This strange time and what triggers this programing within the Big Rigs is still being study, however we have learned from capturing and tagging of some of these creatures, that once activated they begin a migratory path to a predetermined destination. For once coming together in a flock of like modeled to journey and socialize.

Many have speculated this to be some sort of mating ritual as it has been noted that many of these Big Rigs come back with a single young more times then not. We here at Safari Zone will take you on the first ever close up of this strange pattern and discover the mystery of the migrating Big Rigs. Tonight at five.

I don't know where the whole Seeker/Datsun/trine thing entered the fandom.

I know there are fic authors who have gotten into this lore:

http://sanjuno.livejournal.com/18503.html

http://www.unicorncottagecompany.com/transfan/fic2.shtml

those are just examples; tons more are on lj and fanfiction:

You're right, 'fleet' is commonly what a group of vehicles is called, particularly if they have the same owner or company affiliation.

It's a cute bunny. Fleets of TFs all flocking to vacation spots at the same time. I imagine they would go somewhere with relatively calm skies, well maintained roadways and not too much sand (it gets in everything). Nearby power sources are also a must.

I hope someone adopts the bunny.

Dude, I can totally see the humans scratching their heads at this one. *cracks up*

Flocking seekers...heheh

I like the idea. It seems fitting, especially if you were to do the insane thing and try to give the transformer verse its very own Darwin theory...hmm...

I noticed this last night after work when I saw not two, but three Volvo-based big rigs sitting still in the stripmall parking lot, just resting.

When I read you subject, for some reason I thought it said "frolicking seekers". :x

I think I'm going to have to shoot myself because ever since I posted that I've been plotting out a 'conceivable' DT for the TF universe...it's fraggin insane!

LOL, that's awesome. I tend to lean towards the more profane meaning of the sound, but that's fun too!

Thanks a lot, now you've got me thinking of trucks as bison or some other herd type hoofed animal.

*idea forms* ... Oh what the hell. *sings*

Oh, give me a home where eighteen wheelers roam
Where the trucks and flatbeds play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

Um yeah, I'm gonna go over here and die of embarrassment now.

I forbid you to die of embarrassement. I'm glad someone else bursts out in song also. And that was great! Also I'd be interested in seeing this bunny too.

*snirks*

If I were to write more for this (as this was all that popped into my head), and with my fic writing track record, it'd be well after the third movieverse film comes out on DVD before it's finished. ^^;

Bursting into song isn't a frequent occurrence for me, I'm glad you liked it.

Thank you, I'm happy to entertain.

Um... I got the bison imagery too.

And then the darn lummoxes trampled me. (http://ante-luce.livejournal.com/64026.html)
