1. Some silly person let the Constructicons read Harry Potter, and now Scrapper’s convinced that with a little clever engineering, he and his team can build a duplicate of Hogwarts for the Decepticons’ use.
2. Megatron refused Unicron’s offer to be turned into Galvatron, so Unicron went ahead and transfigured him against his will. ‘Megatron’ lives on inside Galvatron and every once in a while, he can take control.
A. Similarly, Skywarp’s personality can temporarily overcome Cyclonus’s and Thundercracker’s personality can do the same for Scourge. (I'd be interested in Thundercracker's opinion of those horrid pink nails.)
B. Megatron recognizes that Starscream might be useful in helping him overthrow Galvatron (he’s got a bad track record for successfully overthrowing dictators, but plenty of experience), and keeps the Galvatron personality from killing Starscream.
C. Megatron realizes that Galvatron’s foolish decisions will lead to the Decepticons’ total and defeat utter long before he can regain control of his body by normal means. When he seizes control for a little while, he attempts suicide (either genuinely seeking destruction for himself and the other personality or simply trying to weaken Galvatron) – much to the horror of the others who are watching at the time.
D. The Autobots realize that having a practical arch-enemy is better than having a completely insane one – the Galvatron personality doesn’t think ahead and will happily destroy Cybertron and every member of the Cybertronian race just to achieve short-term victories. So, what choice is there but a temporary alliance?
1) It’s quite tricky for Rodimus to carry out the necessary negotiations. After all, Megatron is only in control of Galvatron’s body for short bursts of time – and those usually occur when Galvatron is distracted during battle. It makes for interesting conversations, at any rate.
2) Eventually, a process is found which extracts the Megatron spark/personality from Galvatron’s body. The Autobots agree to carry it out – but neither faction has the materials or resources to build a new body compatible with Megatron. However, there is a convenient, recently-vacated body of a certain former Prime available…
3. Perceptron. (On a building I saw from a car window.)
4. ???: He’s bound to me.
???: You mean bonded?
???: No. Bound.
5. AVALANCHE!!
6. Autobots: *frozen, having just noticed the Decepticons watching them*
Decepticons: *disturbed* What the slag is going on here?!?
7. Certain Cybertronians get addicted to the chemicals in Earth’s atmosphere.
8. Red Alert is Bluestreak’s creator.
9. “Oh Bennie Meggy she’s he’s really keen / He’s got electric boots a mohair suit / You know I read it in a magazine / Meggy and the Jets!” ~Bennie and the Jets, Elton John
10. The G1 humans are switched with their Mirrorverse selves.
11. Starscream isn’t just being ambitious and stubborn – he really needs to become leader of the Decepticons (or at least he thinks he does), and soon.
A. Just before the Decepticons left Cybertron, Starscream discovered that Megatron is unknowingly harboring a rare dormant disease, which will rapidly become fatal if the gun-former is placed under too much stress. Having their leader overthrown in a coup and disgracefully demoted is better for everyone concerned than having him just keel over on the battlefield.
B. An aberration in Starscream’s programming causes him to become ill/suicidal unless he feels he’s in absolute control of his situation.
C. Megatron is secretly an Autobot agent.
D. Megatron’s alternate personality is secretly an Autobot agent. While Megatron recharges, his alter ego takes over his body and sabotages whatever plans or superweapons the Decepticons are working on.
1) Starscream knows this because he once worked with Megatron, way back when he hadn’t been a gun-former and the alternate personality was in control. Other-Megatron had been a brilliant scientist and a close friend of both Starscream and Skyfire. His genius allows him to make subtle changes in the Constructicons’ blueprints or plant unconscious commands in his processor so that Megatron errs in his battle plans.
2) Another Decepticon is on the brink of discovering Other-Megatron’s existence.
12. Unexpected – but not unwelcome.
13. A few common misconceptions about humans…
14. An interfactional friendship song.
15. What creator in his or her right mind would build sparklings that are nearly identical to each other? Look at the Lambo twins, for example – they may have similar Earth-altmodes, but their mech-form designs are distinct from each other.
Everyone assumes that mechs like the Seekers, the Coneheads, and the Datsuns are sibling-groups or otherwise related. They only put up with this because it keeps people from figuring out who they’re really related to.
16. Ratchet gets trapped in a medbay (full of incapacitated mechs) that’s under attack, and develops/uses his wrench-throwing skills to defend the patients inside.
17. Dead human skin cells make up a large percentage of dust. Sooner or later, this will cause problems at the
A. Bumblebee or another ‘Autobot-human ambassador’ is the one with Cybertronian asthma, and must drastically reduce exposure to humans for the sake of his health.
B. A room which was once used as a temporary guest room for human visitors is remodeled into a Decepticon prison cell (maybe the humans requested a room with a window?). It’s so little-used now that when an ‘asthmatic’ Decepticon is imprisoned there, he has a major allergic reaction to the dust.
18. At the same time, Springer and Hot Rod find other potential spark-mates and abandon pursuit of Arcee. She’d thought that their fighting annoyed her, and that she’d be pleased if they both just moved on. But now they actually have. And she’s pissed.
19. Optimus PrimexChromia, and/or IronhidexElita-1.
20. Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker are the first trine ever to not be bondmates. Unfortunately, no one will believe them.
21. As the alpha ‘lions’ of the Autobot and Decepticon ‘prides’, it is Optimus’s and Megatron’s responsibility to chase off members of the opposing faction who pursue a relationship with the ‘lionesses’ of their pride.
22. Roller is the reformatted sparkling of a Decepticon.
23. Insert Transformers into the Greek myth about the Trojan War. (Eris, goddess of discord – Unicron? – presents three other goddesses with a golden apple labeled ‘To the fairest’. The other three goddesses – a goddess of wisdom & war, a goddess of marriage and family, and a goddess of love – couldn’t decide who should have the apple. They ask a mortal to decide which of them is ‘the fairest’. The first goddess offers wisdom & skill in battle to the mortal in exchange for his vote; the second, political power and control of all
24. Blitzwing/Firestar.

Personally, I would absolutely LOVE to see this! (And I know how it feels Arcee...) I wish I had the time (and talent) to be able to do something like this!
I am curious as to who their other potential lovers would be... (You know you've been lurking 'round here for too long when Perceptor immediately springs to mind for such a question! Ahahaha...)

Date: 2008-11-22 04:12 am (UTC)Maybe after the attack on Blue's city, the sight of what poor Blue thought was his creator's mangled corpse traumatized him, and he wandered off in shock before Red was rescued/recovered.

I hope Arcee doesn't seek revenge against Perceptor for stealing her not-so-unwanted-after-all lovers.

Date: 2008-11-23 07:25 am (UTC)I can't decide if that is less or more angsty than my immediate thought that Red had faked his death for some reason. (To protect his son from something, though now I can't remember what this was. It made sense though, I swear it!)
I hope Arcee doesn't seek revenge against Perceptor for stealing her not-so-unwanted-after-all lovers.
Holy crap, BOTH of them!? Perceptor, you tease!
Perceptor: Why does this keep happening to me? *confused*
Arcee: *glares*

Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, Barrett, Red, Yuffie, Cait, Vincent, Cid.
...What? I'm a FFVII fan! XD
6. Autobots: *frozen, having just noticed the Decepticons watching them*

I have to wonder!
I am having Megs/SS ideas here - Starscream and Other-Megs are lovers, and have been since long before Starscream's disasterous misson with Skyfire. After that mission, he came back to Cybertron to find his lover gone, and when he eventually finds him again he's totally changed.
Megatron ran afoul of a corrupt senator who didn't like his line of research and reprogrammed him and shoved him into mining to get him out of the way. By the time Starscream finds him again, the alternate identity has turned into the violent brutal leader of the rebellion known as the Decepticons.
Now, much later, Starscream is still trying to work to get his Megatron back, but also has to guard their backs from the other Decepticons.
And things like Magnus looking like a white twin of Optimus (before the armour) doesn't help the misconceptions either, especially since both of them consider Alpha Trion something of a father-figure.
18. At the same time, Springer and Hot Rod find other potential spark-mates and abandon pursuit of Arcee. She’d thought that their fighting annoyed her, and that she’d be pleased if they both just moved on. But now they actually have. And she’s pissed.
XD All I have to say is that I want to see this.
22. Roller is the reformatted sparkling of a Decepticon.
When Optimus lost his original drone, Barrelroller, it was replaced by the Decepticon sparkling - it was covered up by naming the reformatted sparkling after the drone.
Extra ideas for this... what if the sparkling is Optimus's sparkling as well? He's covering up that he had a sparkling to a Decepticon by disguising it as a drone.

Date: 2008-11-22 04:30 am (UTC)*reads* Oooh! No wonder Starscream's so twitchy, if he's got all this on his plate. Too bad he hadn't had a chance to explain things to Skyfire... (Or perhaps Skyfire had never liked Megatron much anyway, even as a scientist?
Jealous perhaps?. Or, ooh, new bunny... *scampers off*And things like Magnus looking like a white twin of Optimus (before the armour) doesn't help the misconceptions either, especially since both of them consider Alpha Trion something of a father-figure.
Brigged Decepticon: Hey, as long as I'm here, would ya mind answering a question for me? It's nothing pertaining to the war, just something we've all been curious about.
Autobot interrogator: We ask the questions here, ya slag-headed...
Optimus: *interrupts* If the matter is indeed unrelated to the war, and answering your question might encourage you to cooperate, we will do our best to indulge your curiosity.
Autobot interrogator: *sulks*
Decepticon: Okay, so we've been wondering - so, you and Magnus look just like each other, and you both consider the same mech to be your 'creator', and you regard each other as 'brothers'... so why don't you just say you're brothers?
Optimus: *baffled* Regardless of our close friendship, we were still sparked from different creators. To claim otherwise would be a needless falsehood.
Decepticon: Slag. Megatron won the bet after all. *mutters* "Prime's ridiculous codes of honor prevent his vocalizer from even the most pointless of deceptions", my aft.
Optimus: ?
Decepticon: *still muttering* And the rest of us all had our money on a secret affair between the two of ya... What a boring explanation...
Optimus: !!!
Autobot interrogator: XD
Extra ideas for this... what if the sparkling is Optimus's sparkling as well? He's covering up that he had a sparkling to a Decepticon by disguising it as a drone.
First instinct suggested it's Megatron's sparkling... which would explain Optimus' exaggerated concern over keeping it hidden and his worry when it didn't return. He wasn't afraid for the sparkling's life; he was afraid Megatron had got his hands on it!

Date: 2008-11-22 07:01 am (UTC)Jealous perhaps?. Or, ooh, new bunny... *scampers off*Yes, life is not easy for him.
I imagine that if Skyfire liked Megatron before, the change in him would be even more of an upset that would have made him join the Autobots. On the other hand, the idea that he's jealous...
Decepticon: *still muttering* And the rest of us all had our money on a secret affair between the two of ya... What a boring explanation...
Optimus: !!!
Of course, Optimus is only addressing the question the Decepticon posed, so he didn't deny or confirm any secret affair.
First instinct suggested it's Megatron's sparkling... which would explain Optimus' exaggerated concern over keeping it hidden and his worry when it didn't return. He wasn't afraid for the sparkling's life; he was afraid Megatron had got his hands on it!
Telepathy strikes again! Megatron was the main one I'd been thinking of too!

Hmmm, I like this one. It's talking to me, don't know quite what it's saying yet, but I like it.
10. The G1 humans are switched with their Mirrorverse selves.
One of the things I've always wanted to see in a Mirrorverse fic, was where some of the humans were just as evil as their Autobot friends.
15. What creator in his or her right mind would build sparklings that are nearly identical to each other?
What about Reflector, or the cassettes? Or hell, even this one Decepticon medic that looks eerily like Megatron?
16. Ratchet gets trapped in a medbay (full of incapacitated mechs) that’s under attack, and develops/uses his wrench-throwing skills to defend the patients inside.
Whoever does this will have my undying adoration for the rest of eternity. Particularly the fact that this could be the beginning of Ratchet's reign of the medbay with medical tools, in a way that is most likely against protocol, and the fear and awe of everyone who walks into his domain.

Date: 2008-11-22 04:34 am (UTC)And the best part is that Megatron would probably not submit to this willingly, or knowingly...

Hmmm, good point there. Once Ratchet had used his Wrench-Judo to save Autobot lives, his commanders couldn't exactly ban it.

I wrote something similar to this on Cyclonus' part. It's an older fic that I still haven't gone through and retouched properly like I've meant to (http://community.livejournal.com/noa_tf_fic/14207.html) - so forgive any sloppiness. I intended to continue with the idea and do the same for TC and Megatron eventually. Which I will get around to... eventually.
