Alright... So, let me see. Buffy would be the one to tell Prime to bug off, Xander would joke, "you know, Paranoia is a life trait here", Giles or Angel might give the Autobots the finger as they attempt to convince Buffy to at least let them see Red...
And Red would be overjoyed, and probably a bit surprised to have his suggestions taken seriously. In fact, he'd probably be so surprised, he might just fritz a little, since he isn't used to having anyone listen to him. And after they do manage to convince him that they actually are listening, he becomes much more conscientious of his duties (not that he wasn't anyway, but for the first time in vorns he's actually putting his spark fully into his job for people that enjoy it) and refuses to go with the Autobots when they do come. And a full out brawl to win Red back will emerge from there.

(You know, when I originally thought this, I thought he might go to Simmons, and Sector Seven, teach them how to create walls good enough to keep the Decepticons from hacking 'just in case' and from there Sector Seven, whatever is left of it, bands together and agrees that no Autobot is allowed to pry Red Alert away, and he must stay forever ><)
