I have never done this before
I stumbled across this community a few days ago and really wanted to post my own bunnies and comments...which led to me actually joining livejournal. I feel as though this is the sort of thing that would have my very extroverted brother shaking his head in shame.
So...I've got plenty of ideas. Some I want to do myself, others I feel I wouldn't be able to do justice to or wouldn't have enough time once I finally get a job, so I thought I'd share them with others.
1. Animated/Kingdom Hearts crossover: Orion can't remember anything before he began his Keyblade training. That's why he went on this journey. He wanted to find his past. He was surprised to stumble across a lot of sentient robots that resembled his true form. He was also surprised when some of them started calling him Optimus.
a. Optimus/Orion will stumble across the repair crew while they're stranded in Detroit. It's kind of necessary if you don't want them completely destroyed by the Decepticons that show up.
b. Optimus/Orion can use their Keyblade to turn into a human, which he has done so much he acts and thinks more like a human than a Cybertronian.
c. Optimus/Orion's specialty is summoning, mostly Final Fantasy summons. If he summons them in his Cybertronian form, he can fuse with them like a gestalt.
d. Optimus/Orion can use magic quite easily. Too bad almost the entirety of the Cybertronian race doesn't believe in magic and thinks he's using some sort of technology no one's ever seen before.
e. Heartless are optional.
f. Choose which faction Optimus/Orion ends up with! Or you can have him decide he doesn't want to associate himself with either faction.
g. You can also choose how Optimus/Orion ended up with such severe amnesia and if it's something that's reversible.
h. Bonus points if Optimus/Orion unintentionally makes everyone think his Cybertronian and human forms are two separate entities.
2. Armada: For some reason, Brad, Carlos, and Alexis give off readings that make every scanning device identify them as Minicons. Because of this, when the Autobots and Decepticons arrive, both sides think that the three kids are all Minicons. It takes a while to convince them otherwise. At least the Minicons are all aware the kids are human from the get go.
a. This abnormality was caused by the time travel loop near the end of Armada where the kids go back in time and unintentionally free the Minicons from Unicron and give them their own mass consciousness.
3. Prime: When the beams crossed and the ground bridge imploded, it didn't send the kids to the Shadowzone. It sent them to the Ghost zone. The bots still manage to get the kids back, but weird stuff starts happening around the kids with no logical explanation. Turns out the bots unintentionally turned their charges into halfas.
4. Any continuity, but G1 seems most likely: For some reason, I always equate Moonracer with Sailor Moon. I don't know why. Moonracer's tfwiki profile probably doesn't help. Anyway, I'd like to see someone write a story where Moonracer and Usagi Tsukino are the same person.
5. Any continuity, but probably IDW: Back when Shockwave had emotions, he fell in love and got bonded to a bot he considered the love of his life. Then he got put through shadowplay and lost the ability to feel emotions.
Now his bonded has to deal with the consequences.
a. Bonded can be either Autobot or Decepticon. I think either would be plausible.
6. Prime: A human can see ghosts, always has. He/She has gotten used to it. However, he/she can also see into the Shadowzone.
Soundwave has taken to stalking the poor human.
7. Bayverse: Not all the members of Sector Seven were assholes. Some felt bad about the sparklings being created by the Allspark and then killed. So they started sneaking some of them out and raising them alongside their children/grandchildren. Now that Sector Seven has been shut down and the big bots are on Earth, they decide to come clean so the sparklings can be raised by someone who knows what they're doing.
Unfortunately, the sparklings do not want to leave their adoptive families, and their human siblings don't want them to leave either. Cue family drama.
8. Any continuity: The Quintessons found Earth not too long before the Autobots and Decepticons. After some abductions, they discovered that a small percentage of humans have a gene that allows them to develop abilities if exposed to extreme conditions for an extended period of time. The Quintessons start abducting humans and experimenting on them to develop various useful abilities. What will they do with these humans? And what will happen when the Autobots and/or Decepticons find out about this?
a. This was inspired by Young Justice. It seemed like something the Quintessons would do if they could.
9. Any continuity/Ranma 1/2 crossover: Somehow the Autobots and Decepticons end up having a fight at Jusenkyou. The springs are rather hard to avoid when you're as big as a typical Cybertronian. Several of them end up cursed and have to deal with the rather strange consequences.
a. Some of the funnier curses I thought of: Optimus falling into Spring of Drowned Girl (He turns into a femme.), Sideswipe falls into Spring of Drowned Twins (Does that make them triplets?), Sunstreaker falls into Spring of Drowned Pious Man (Causing him to act OOC and freak everyone out.), Starscreamer falls into Spring of Drowned Akane (Because I wanted him to turn into a human.), and Soundwave falls into Spring of Drowned Child (Also acting OOC and freaking everyone out.). Can you guys think of any other funny combinations?
10. Any continuity: Cybertron has been rendered uninhabitable from the war. There is a ray of hope however. There are records of artifacts called Cyber Keys that when brought together would strengthen the core of the planet to an extent that it would be able to recover from the damage done to it in a small amount of time. However, long before the war, the keys were sent off planet on colony ships to keep them from being abused. Now the two factions have to locate lost colonies and retrieve the keys before the other side.
a. To complicate matters, all of the colonies have developed their own cultures and no longer remember where their ancestors are from. Not to mention some of the bots are odd. The bots on Velocitron are pretty normal even if they put a little too much stock on racing. The bots on Micron are convinced the bots are some kind of giant monster. And then there's the planet full of nothing but triple changers and the planet where twins, triplets, and even gestalt births are an everyday occurrence. And that's not even half of them...
11. Any continuity/Static crossover: Who here remembers Static? The superhero show where Virgil Hawkins got electromagnetic superpowers and fought gangs? That was an awesome show. I prefer the first couple of seasons to the later ones, but it was still really good.
I think it would be interestin to see how someone with Virgil's abilities interacts with Autobots and Decepticons. How they meet is up to you. Maybe Megatron tried to use Virgil as an energon source. Maybe Virgil gives off a signal similar to a Cybertronian or an important Cybertronian artifact. Maybe someone was hiding in plain sight in their alt mode and Virgil unintentionally used his abilities in front of them.
a. Since Static wasn't originally part of the DC universe you can decide if other DC characters will be present or only characters that were present before the two universes combined.
b. Bonus points if other metahumans are used.
c. Bonus points if Wheeljack and Gear/Richie meet and cause even bigger explosions.
So these are my bunnies. I might still use them one day, but not for a long time. Or I'll never publish whatever I end up with. I hope I did this posting correctly...
Edit: Added cuts as suggested by niyazi_a...I just realized I have no idea how to do links on this...Oh well...
