Beachcomber? I never considered him for this. Why him? It sounds like an interesting interpretation of the character.
The Beachcomber who lives in my head and who I RP has lived a very varied life, as a geologist he's seen more of the rest of the universe than most 'bots traveling from one world to another assessing them for suitability as colonies and/or resources that could be used back on Cybertron.
In the course of this life he's nearly been killed more times than he cares to keep count of. He's also been left for dead as the sole survivor of an exploding spaceship (caused by sabotage) and stranded on a very hostile and down right dangerous world for a few vorn. As a result of all this the laid back detached hippie persona is part coping mechanism and part mask, and it struck me that he would gather the small insignificant broken things because when you've been repeatedly reduced to nothing every thing is precious.
*EDIT* Oh Primus help me, I've thought about these two too much in the course of avoiding doing work this morning and now they've taken up residence in the hutch.
