44 bunnies
1. Due to their mass shifting capacity, mechs like Perceptor, Blaster and Soundwave can change their size in root mode.
2. Bluestreak is a decepticon infiltrator.
3. In a noisy room, someone new mishears designation as destination.
4. More Papa Soundwave Bunnies. Soundwave realizes that Spike is an adolescent, and grows increasingly uncomfortable with the idea of killing someone very much like his cassettes.
5. Without You (lyrics)from Rent. Video is here.
6. Cross-species romances are…interesting, but generally follow the format of young(ish) female human and young-to-middling male autobot. Human is rescued/hired/otherwise introduced, and ‘true love’ ensues. What about the old mechs? They deserve love too. Or a romance at the end of life, where the human lover is old and grey, and the transformer is still young. Or generational love affairs, where the descendents of one particular human all end up involved with the same mech. Or same-sex pairings, with a human who grew up before the gay rights movement. Job related affairs, like Red Alert and some human ‘Independent Contractor’. Or just plain affairs, with the mech cheating on their partner with a human. Decepticon-human pairings, where the human is aware and frightened of their lover’s allegiance (Thundercracker and a pilot?).
7. A human from a mirrorverse ends up in the regular universe, and finds it harder to adjust to good autobots then evil decepticons. Bonus points if they never met members of either side before they crossed over.
8. Like most imperfect cybertronians, Red Alert and Jazz joined the decepticons.
9. The decepticon needed more troops. The autobots had a sparkling. Starscream adds two and two together and comes up with the obvious answer. (inspired by sparkling!Bumblebee, and the image of a half grown Seeker!Bee)
10. Prowl: New Rule. When any human object begins to glow and shake violently, you will back away slowly, and for the love of Primus, you are not to touch it!
11.Art Bunny, Inspired by the jibjab song This Land with Charr/Galvatron and Cybertron/Rodimus
12.(Counter)Punch: To be or not to be, that is the question…
13. Someone downloads every human language documented. Now he’s having trouble keeping them straight.
14. Rumble learns why you don’t piss off single parents. The autobots find more reasons to respect their human allies. Sparkplug discovers another use for a shovel.
15. Starscream, leader of the Decepticon army, has the intense desire to go back in time and strangle his younger self for getting him stuck with this job.
16. What if the autobot didn’t realize the humans were sentient?
17.?: He had a little understated goal called ‘ruling the universe’.
18. Someone carries blades made out of the metal from their enemies’ sparkcasing.
19. (Inspired by the magnet scene in Wall-e)
Optimus:*snickering* It’s rather hard to take you seriously from that position, brother…
Megatron: Shut up and get me down!
20. Cybertronian Femmes? Meet Feminism. Play nice now.
(Because no matter what your belief is about their role in Cybertronian society, this is going to be an interesting conversation.)
21. If you found out your creator was reprogrammed, what would you do? Side with the faction you’ve been raised in, or the one who raised you?
22. Perceptor: Most of the things I make are theoretically impossible, of course, but the trick is not letting those theories notice what you’re doing.
23. The Robo-Smasher was originally created by an autobot.
24. Utter Crack. The constructicons undo their reprogramming-because it interferes with their work. Now they’re angry at both sides and forming a third faction of ‘frag this, let’s invade Velocitron and rebuild there’. It’s surprisingly popular.
25. Human scientists begin to wonder what they could use energon for.
26. In an effort to improve the attitudes some of his crew hold towards humans, Prime arranges for a conference where the Autobots are introduced to humans with similar jobs, interests, or personalities as them. Much to everyone’s shock, amusement, and horror, the more unstable and unpredictable autobots latch on to their counterparts.
27. The minibots are much more sympathetic to humans then their full-scale counterparts, because most of the arguments against helping the humans were once used against the minibots.
28. Spike is a Selkie, like his mother, who left them and returned to the sea. When the Decepticons settle into their underwater base, she notices.
29.?:Let’s end the world on a high note, ok?
30. Perceptor misinterprets the story of the Garden of Eden. (Come on, fruit from the Tree of Knowledge? You expect a scientist to find this a bad thing?)
31. Dead End gets therapy.
32.?: This requires a subtle blend of diplomacy and extreme violence.
33. Airwolf Crossover. Blades falls in love with a sweet young femme named Airwolf.
(“Are you insane? She has enough firepower to take over a third world nation!”)
34. The Negative Confessions. Some decepticons takes them as a challenge.
35. Mirrorverse humans- Carly and Spike survived five years in captivity by the autobots before they were rescued by the decepticons. Fiercely loyal to their new cause, the two young humans quickly find a place within the Decepticon army.
36. Names affect perception. (“We’re not minibots! You’re oversized!)
37. In a cell, located in a decepticon base back on Cybertron, two scientists named Perceptor and Wheeljack plot their escape.
38. “An eye for an eye and the whole world will go blind.” Unfortunately, cybertronian optics are replaceable.
39. Mirage lives in towers, in a grand apartment near a shining mercury river. He never wants for energon, has armor made for style instead of defense. This is his world, the only world he’s ever known. Why then, does he remember the proper angle for a headshot with a rifle or how to stave off hunger pains?
41. By certain twisted decepticon standards, the humans could be considered quite beautiful.
42. Shockwave created Perceptor.
43.?:Oh look, Wheeljack’s got another convert to the
44.The introduction of Sunstreaker the artist(“Call me Sunny”), to the autobot army was traumatizing for everyone involved.

11. I'm guessing Galvatron is the right wing nutjob and Rodimus is the liberal wiener? =D
no subject
11. Yep. Not that the reverse wouldn't be interesting, but I can't see it.
no subject
3. "And why are we going to a dead end?"
10. He said this to Perceptor, didn't he? You'd think someone so smart would know better by now.
13. Blaster? He is the communications officer; he'd need to know them all to speak to humans worldwide.
21. *wants to see*
22. *LOVES* I MIGHT GRAB.
24. *LOVES*
25. And they learn that unprocessed energon is useless to them, but already processed energon...
26. Red Alert meets a human version of himself! So do Perceptor and Wheeljack!
30. Interesting...
37. *LOVES* I wonder how long they've been there.
39. *wonders* I hope someone grabs this one.
40. Perceptor: "But learning is the fun part!"
42. I still hope someone adopts this! Why isn't anyone adopting this?! *cries*
43. "He always corrupted Perceptor and Skyfire; now he's got his claws into Blaster. How the slag did that happen? Blaster's not even a scientist!"
"I think it has something to do with the noise the explosions make."
44. I bet most of them crashed.
no subject
*snicker*And Dead End takes this as invitation to explain his philosophy on life, and meanwhile the poor mech is wondering how the frag he got stuck in this conversation.
22. *LOVES* I MIGHT GRAB.
Yes! Take it!
And they learn that unprocessed energon is useless to them, but already processed energon...
This could get very creepy, very quickly.
Red Alert meets a human version of himself! So do Perceptor and Wheeljack!
Dear god, the world's doomed, isn't it. (and on an only slightly crackier note, "I shall call him Mini-me!")
*LOVES* I wonder how long they've been there.
The muse is saying they've been in there since the start of the war. (and that they created the gestalt technology, but that's another story.)
Perceptor: "But learning is the fun part!"
Aww, that's so cute. Percy makes you want to hug him and give him lots and lots of grant money.
"He always corrupted Perceptor and Skyfire; now he's got his claws into Blaster. How the slag did that happen? Blaster's not even a scientist!"
"I think it has something to do with the noise the explosions make."
You know, there are several music pieces originally written to accompanied by cannon fire, which is essentially controlled explosions.
...Hopefully no one's told Blaster that.
no subject
And he'd look around for help and everyone would just shake their heads and make You Brought This On Yourself gestures.
This could get very creepy, very quickly.
*nods* Cybertronians would become a hunted species. Humans would try to take it by force when, I'm sure, Autobots would likely be happy to donate some if needed. After all, a human can't use much right?
Dear god, the world's doomed, isn't it. (and on an only slightly crackier note, "I shall call him Mini-me!")
Austin Powers Crossover! ... Prowl's gonna crash, ain't he?
The muse is saying they've been in there since the start of the war. (and that they created the gestalt technology, but that's another story.)
The muse is brilliant!
Aww, that's so cute. Percy makes you want to hug him and give him lots and lots of grant money.
*nods* And energon goodies.
You know, there are several music pieces originally written to accompanied by cannon fire, which is essentially controlled explosions.
...Hopefully no one's told Blaster that.
Optimus: *growls* "All right, which one of you told Blaster?"
Jazz: "Told Blaster what?"
Optimus: *points to where Blaster is firing several cannons*
Jazz: *listens* "You know, that's got a catchy beat."
Optimus: *tries to strangle Jazz*
Prowl: *ignores Jazz and Optimus* "This would explain the call I got from the military history museum, asking us to return their property."
Ironhide: *also ignores Optimus and Jazz* "Blaster's not allowed to play with Perceptor and Wheeljack anymore, is he?"
Prowl: "If I thought any of them actually obey, none of them would be allowed to play with each other."
Obviously, someone has.

Spike/Sam and Bumblebee- Bee's fond of his 'sweet, innocent' little pet, Sam's torn between intense hatred and a grudging understanding of Bee's motives.
...I'm depressed...
So am I. This is a really depressing bunny.
Puts bunny into basket
One more bunny inflicted on the helpless populace. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I wonder how I can go about doing this without stepping into the "I find your pain and suffering beautiful" kind of admiration...
Maybe 'I admire your ability to inflict pain and suffering upon each other, and your ability to to be hurt and fucked up and not collapse into pathetic autobot-like whimpering'? It's not exactly 'I find your pain beautiful'...
no subject
no subject
Holy shit. That's over 2,400 languages, no wonder they're having problems.
28. Spike is a Selkie, like his mother, who left them and returned to the sea. When the Decepticons settle into their underwater base, she notices.
Considering that Selkies are not known for willingly taking human husbands, while there are exceptions, it makes me question Sparkplug's morality. I can see Spike learning of his heritage when the Decepticons decide to play drown-the-human.
Random Autobot: "So does this mean that his alt-mode's a seal?"
30. (Come on, fruit from the Tree of Knowledge? You expect a scientist to find this a bad thing?)
I've never understood it either.
43.?:Oh look, Wheeljack’s got another convert to the Church of Blowing Shit Up.
Can humans join too, I wonder?
no subject
Random Autobot: "So does this mean that his alt-mode's a seal?"
According to some versions of the legend, the key to both their shapeshifting and their sea-longing is in their sealskin. If someone finds a selkie in human form and takes that sealskin, the selkie forgets living in the sea and will go with that person as husband/wife. But, if he or she ever recovers the skin, the memory and sea-longing returns.
So you have to wonder, if Spike is a selkie, just where is HIS skin?
no subject
I now have the image of a gray steamer trunk, quietly tucked away in some storage room at Sparkplug's request. He's not taking any chances of loosing his son like he did his wife.
no subject
no subject
And so would the autobots, once they research Selkie myths.
I can see Spike learning of his heritage when the Decepticons decide to play drown-the-human.
*Grins* And freaking out both sides while doing so.
Random Autobot: "So does this mean that his alt-mode's a seal?"
*snicker* If this gets written, that line totally needs to be included.
Can humans join too, I wonder?
Considering the discovery channel, I think we're the co-founders.
no subject
One word - Mythbusters. :)
no subject
And that's why you never see Sparkplug later on.

4. More Papa Soundwave Bunnies. Soundwave realizes that Spike is an adolescent, and grows increasingly uncomfortable with the idea of killing someone very much like his cassettes.
Soundwave, Protector of the Young.
Actually, it reminds me of "Kite Strings and Sealing Wax", though that one the major protector of the young is Starscream.
6. Cross-species romances are…interesting, but generally follow the format of young(ish) female human and young-to-middling male autobot.
I'd love to see more variety in TF/Human romances too.
Or a romance at the end of life, where the human lover is old and grey, and the transformer is still young.
There was one plotbunny that someone wrote a fic for, about Sunstreaker getting to know a human, then the human died. Some of the other Autobots thought he was just sad to lose a good regular car wash (I think that's what it was) but Sunny was genuinely mourning losing his human friend.
Now while not romantic, this prompt reminded me of that fic.
Or generational love affairs, where the descendents of one particular human all end up involved with the same mech.
I'd love to see that! Maybe Bumblebee and Sam's family, or Ironhide with the Lennox family.
Or same-sex pairings, with a human who grew up before the gay rights movement.
For some reason I'm thinking of Sparkplug Witwicky here. Given the era G1 is in, it's very easy for him to remember a time when homosexuality didn't have even the acceptance it had in the 80s.
Job related affairs, like Red Alert and some human ‘Independent Contractor’.
Movieverse Ratchet sometimes helps out the local search and rescue squad, and gets involved with one of the people on the team.
Or just plain affairs, with the mech cheating on their partner with a human.
Powerglide, Astoria and Moonracer.
Decepticon-human pairings, where the human is aware and frightened of their lover’s allegiance (Thundercracker and a pilot?).
There's also a fic on FFN about Thundercracker joining the Autobots. He's having all sorts of personal problems because he doesn't know where he fits in - not an Autobot, but not a Decepticon either.
The fic has him getting to know an airforce mechanic - it's a somewhat rough relationship because TC has no interest in anything romantic with a human, plus in some of the more recent chapters there was a huge dispute because she played a prank on him that left him unable to transform. It's also a sequel to a Bluestreak/human fic.
This prompt reminded me of that fic.
14. Rumble learns why you don’t piss off single parents. The autobots find more reasons to respect their human allies. Sparkplug discovers another use for a shovel.
XD Go Sparkplug!
21. If you found out your creator was reprogrammed, what would you do? Side with the faction you’ve been raised in, or the one who raised you?
This one strikes me as interesting because a bunny a couple of months back came up with Perceptor being Hot Rod's creator. It would be interesting how Hot Rod would react if he found out Perce had been reprogrammed, since I personally believe Roddy truly believes in Autobot ideals.
25. Human scientists begin to wonder what they could use energon for.
New fuel alternative? Especially if it can be produced from sources besides petroleum.
28. Spike is a Selkie, like his mother, who left them and returned to the sea. When the Decepticons settle into their underwater base, she notices.
...And brings down the wrath of the oceans on the Decepticons for hurting her son.
no subject
Wasn't that a contest entry for one our contests? some Livejournal contest anyway. I've read it- it's cute, a phrase one rarely uses in reference to Sunny.
For some reason I'm thinking of Sparkplug Witwicky here.
I've always wanted to read Sparkplug slash- any Sparkplug slash.
This one strikes me as interesting because a bunny a couple of months back came up with Perceptor being Hot Rod's creator. It would be interesting how Hot Rod would react if he found out Perce had been reprogrammed, since I personally believe Roddy truly believes in Autobot ideals.
That would be interesting, especially since he becomes Prime. Reprogramming is essentially a violation of everything Autobots stand for, so his faith in his faction would be severely shaken.
...And brings down the wrath of the oceans on the Decepticons for hurting her son.
LOL. It's a really bad idea to have an underwater base when your enemy calls the ocean home, isn't it.
no subject
Yeah, I do believe it was. Good fic too.
I've always wanted to read Sparkplug slash- any Sparkplug slash.
As a previous Sparkplug slash bunny made me think, the really interesting part would be studying how the Autobots would react to human opinions of homosexuality in the 1980s and homophobia in particular, considering fandom's take on sexual identity probably not really applying to a species of robots.
That would be interesting, especially since he becomes Prime. Reprogramming is essentially a violation of everything Autobots stand for, so his faith in his faction would be severely shaken.
That it would be, and would make it even better if it is set after he's become Prime - not only for Rodimus's reaction but how would it affect Perceptor, finding out he was reprogrammed by the Autobots, now that his creation is the Autobots leader?
no subject
...I think that one was mine. Autobots confused about why the human media is so disturbed by Sparkplug having a male lover?
how would it affect Perceptor, finding out he was reprogrammed by the Autobots, now that his creation is the Autobots leader?
Especially if the programming is undone. Poor Percy's responsible for his enemies(?) continued survival as a faction.
no subject
Yes, that's the one! I really wish some could pick that up and write it, one of the greatest things about this fandom is the ability to look at human sexuality from an outside perspective.
Especially if the programming is undone. Poor Percy's responsible for his enemies(?) continued survival as a faction.
Yes, that would be fascinating reading.
no subject
I would really like to see how Soundwave reacts when he realises that the humans love their children too. (I just reminded myself of the song "Russians"...)
8. Like most imperfect cybertronians, Red Alert and Jazz joined the decepticons.
Funny you should mention this, cos one of my outlines had Jazz as a Decepticon before he was left for dead and nursed back to health by Autobots.
28. Spike is a Selkie, like his mother, who left them and returned to the sea. When the Decepticons settle into their underwater base, she notices.
*Wants to see* Oh, man, I love when there's more to Spike than meets the eye! C'mon, there's gotta be some reason he bagged a hottie like Carly!
no subject
This seems to be one of the more popular bunnies on the list, so cross your fingers.
no subject
...slight change.
?: Oh look, Wheeljack's got two more converts to the Church of Blowing Shit Up.
??: *looking wide-eyed* B-but its Prowl and Red Alert. As in something-stuck-up-his aft Prowl our 2IC and parionid glitch security director Red Alert!
?: *shrugs* So?
??: They are usually the one's who throw people in the bring for that kind of stuff!?
?: *nodding* Yes ... but that was before Ratchet recommended they do something more productive then working. Then the twins did something stupid so Wheeljack gave them some experiments he had been meaning to test.
??: ... what were they ... bombs?!
?: No. They were actually some simple stuff, but they asked for a few extra chemicals ... *looking thoughtful* I do wonder what they wanted with that nuclear reactor though. That was the next thing they were going to try.
??: *whimper*

"Or just plain affairs, with the mech cheating on their partner with a human."
That right there inspired a oneshot. You can find it here:

I can see her watching them in curiosity through the windows and they generally learn to ignore her. But then one day they bring in Spike, who they caught in their last battle, and she sees him....
34. The Negative Confessions. Some decepticons takes them as a challenge.
Osiris, Anubis, Thoth and the judge panel of dieties would be repeatedly smacking their heads against something, and Ammit would either being having the feast of her life or finding Cybertronian sparks disgusting. XD
