Seriously, why do these kind of bunnies bite when I'm busy with something else?!
Not only don't I have the time to spend with it, it's a bit complicated -_-
For some reason - could be anything from getting fed up with the chain of command to fearing for their continued survival - the central seeker trine defects to the Autobots. The three of them keep mostly to themselves, although Skywarp does strike up a friendship with the Lamborghini twins, and willingly go head to head with their former allies.
During one such battle, Starscream suffers a critical hit that should rightly deactivate him, leaving Ratchet both relieved and frustrated when the seeker doesn't immediately collapse. As he tries to come up with some way to keep the seeker online, Starscream's trinemates and Skyfire tell him just what kept the damage from being devastating: Starscream is actually a femme who added extra mech-armour to her frame as a protective measure when the war started. Unfortunately, the excess armour is what's keeping Ratchet from tending her injuries so they are forced to remove it.
The one problem with suddenly have an obvious femme on the Autobot base? Sunstreaker realizes that, long before the war, he used to date Starscream - who went by Starsinger then - and he's insanely jealous that the femme seeker is quite obviously smitten with her trine mate Skywarp.
No, I don't know where the hell these things come from either *beats head against desk*
