I had this weird dream/half-awake-chain-of-thought.

When Ironhide was young, he had a thing for wings. Not exactly a popular thing in grounder-populated areas. He met Sunstorm, who was generally shunned by other seekers, because he's a follower or Primus rather than the seekers main divinity Zephyrus (don't know where that came from, maybe another fanfic). The two oddballs hit it off, and eventually there was the patter of little pedes. LOTS of little pedes.
First litter: Optimus & Starscream
Second: Thrust
Third: Sideswipe & Sunstreaker
Fourth: Cliffjumper & Bumblebee
Fifth: Powerglide

Now, imagine this strange family history coming to public knowledge on Earth.
Grab some popcorn.

Three posts in three days...The bunnies usually aren't this bad.

So this bunny came from an odd dream I had last night that woke me up at 5 in the morning. It mostly focused on some sort of Harry Potter/X-Men plot, but there was a TF aspect I thought might be interesting. Thing is, it involved the Shattered Glass universe, and I don't know much about it past the basics. If someone has already posted a bunny like this, I apologize.

Strange dreams and sleep deprivation should not be mixed. )
And that's all of it. Thank you for putting up with the thoughts that creep up on me in the dead of night.

I need to get some sleep...

I thought what if Cliffjumper's hatred for the Decepticons had more depth to it?
And then there is the singular traitor episode where lots of people take for characterising him. (Which I hate the prevalence by the by)

1. Cliffjumper has issues with the Decepticons and traitors because he almost joined their faction instead of the Autobots. But for whatever reason (perhaps his minibot status or because he wasn't quite to their standard) he was refused, and since joining the Autobots his guilt reflects his reactions. His passion to the cause is now irrefutable and he has made some great friends amongst the Autobots but in recharge he is haunted by what could have been had things gone a different route.

2. Or he was betrayed by someone he was close to. Someone who is now currently a Decepticon. A willing Decepticon who was only using Cliffjumper to get close to Optimus Prime to destroy him.
B. This friend was Soundwave who at one time courted CJ to become one of his casseticons.
C. Reflector. Or rather the three "components" who were actually Minibots triplets. Minibots are supposed to stick together,  so doubly betraying CJ.

3. Animated x G1 Cliffjumper had been in a relationship he thought genuine but in reality they were merely using him to gain access to Autobot intel. As CJ was a secretary prior to the war with access to important files.

Guys tell me a joke. ^^ No, seriously. It has been a while since I had a good laugh, so I wrote down a few ideas. Hope someone adopts a (Crack) bunny. ^^

Make me smile. ^____^  )

1. It's widely believed that when a seeker's wings are irreparably damaged, said seeker tends to slip into madness. The humane thing to do in this case is to put the seeker out of his or her misery.

Starscream is shot down in battle and his wings are utterly trashed. Megatron opts to leave him behind (no sense wasting resources on a mech who's just going to go mad, after all) and the Autobots take him back to their base in the hopes that something can be done for him. When it turns out there's no way Ratchet can repair Starscream, it kicks off a moral dilemma: should they kill Starscream while he's in stasis or let him live in misery?

2. A variation on the first bunny and incorporating some of this bunny as well. Vos has aerial seekers (Starscream et al) as well as non-aerials or "skimmers" (Cliffjumper); skimmers are actually the Vosian variant of minibots. When an aerial's wings are irreparably damaged, Vosian medics either modify the frame to non-aerial or - if the damage is too great - transfer the ex-aerial's spark to a non-aerial frame.

Same scenario as above happens, only when the debate starts Cliffjumper and any other minibot that might actually be Vosian (I'm thinking Bumblebee) insist on modifying Starscream into a non-aerial frame. When questions start being asked, the two minis reveal that they're actually seekers, discard whatever excess armor they've been using to disguise themselves, and reveal what has actually been happening to damaged aerial seekers over the eons.

Bonus points here if Bumblebee/non-Cliffjumper mini was actually an aerial seeker long before the war and was modified due to severe damage.

In this context, the bunny is for TFA, but it can be adapted to G1 if you so please.

There’s a reason why Cliffjumper is volatile, and has a lust for violence and a fetish for dedicated weapons. A reason only he knows. They are traces of his past. He may be an Autobot now, but he was once a Decepticon.
Cliffjumper was originally a penetration agent who underwent a transfer into a Minibot’s frame and a name change as part of his cover. His mission was similar to the one Shockwave was sent on: to infiltrate Cybertron Intel and perform espionage. However, after being forced to look at the war from an Autobot point-of-view, he started to have second thoughts. After debating it with himself, he made his move, silently defecting before he even reached the Intel department. He destroyed the communication equipment that he had used to keep in contact with the Decepticons, and denounced his past, never to bring it up again. The Cons figured he had been caught, and also forgot about him.

Add-on bit:
a) Longarm/Shockwave, the second attempt at a penetration agent, immediately recognizes Cliffjumper when he spots the red mech at Autoboot Camp. Despite wanting to kill the traitor on site, he comes to the conclusion that if he does anything, even as small as telling Megatron that Cliffjumper is alive, it could compromise the mission. As such, he decides to keep it a secret.

Cliffjumper has always been a good Autobot, so no one really questions why he prefers to keep mostly to himself. True, Ratchet wonders why a good bit of his medical records are sealed, but whatever the reason it happened early in the war and he won't mess with it unless necessary.

The reason for the sealed medical history comes to light after a battle and Cliffjumper is knocked into stasis by something that rightly should have killed him. During repairs (and grousing about the luck of idiots) Ratchet discovers that CJ's outer framework is a secondary frame, and that the original frame underneath has been protected for the entire war.

The original frame? That of a ground-based Seeker. Not a Praxian, but a non-flight capable Vosian - they're distinctive for having small, light frames and decorative finials that act much like flight-capable Vosians wings for communication.

At this point, what can Ratchet do? The secondary frame is trashed, so Cliffjumper's just going to have to get used to being stared at again. Good thing that ground-based Seekers are also noted for being some of the fastest mechs online....

Bonus Bunny Bit: Cliffjumper has to rescan an alt mode and picks a sporty motorcycle.

Bunnies!

1) Red Alert is the wicked witch of the east, Optimus is the good witch of the North, Prowl and Jazz are munchkins, Cliffjumper is Toto and Inferno swears these ruby slippers aren’t his! (Set in G1)

2) Hotshot saves Wheeljack from execution… much to the Ex-Autobot’s fury (Set between Armada and Energon)

3) When Inferno is branded with the Decepticon's mark, Hotshot calls in an old friend named Wheeljack who might be able to help (Set in Energon)

4) Smokescreen was the sole carer of his two younger siblings after their creators die in a transport accident. He struggles to provide for them while he trains in the Autobot academy to become a psychologist and diversionary tactician, and resorts to gambling for energon to provide for his young brothers.
Magnus finds out and forces Smokescreen to give one of his siblings up for adoption.  Prowl is chosen by Magnus to be given away. Smokescreen wallows in guilt, becoming the underground betting boss Gambler, but raises Bluestreak, the youngest of the trio, well.
After Smokescreen is caught gambling under his alias, Gambler, with Bluestreak guilty of turning an optic to his elder brothers habit (sometime after he has completed his training in the Autobot Academy) Magnus sends them to serve time with Optimus' crew on earth as punishment, only to run into their long lost brother, who doesn't seem to know them at all. (Set in TF:A)

5) The Black Ops Club is the gossip hub of Cybertron, Secret organizations use the bar as an information hub. Jazz, while on a mission to gather info, meets his old lover and rouge agent, Prowl. (Prowl was preferably blackmailed into going rouge by a rival organization) (Set in G1 or Bayverse)

6)“Prowler” Jazz snickered placing his servos on his hips “I don’t understand you half the time and I’m bonded to you”

7) "I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you"

8)  "To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target" Prowl offers Bluestreak sniping advice.

9) "The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on the list."

Despite having disapeared off the face of the internet, all I have to bring you is this. Sadly, without all that free-time I had whilst working I haven't had near the same flow of inspiration. I've also been rather busy. I do apologize, but that's just how it's been.

The worst part is, 7 out of 10 I came up with before I moved )
