1. While it is possible for seekers to be independent and act as individuals, most function best when maintaining a trine bond. Unfortunately, separating the trine for even brief stints after the bond is formed can lead to some extremes in behaviour... which Megatron still hasn't figured out after several million years. He only grabs a clue when another Decepticon mentions in passing that Starscream's treachery, Skywarp's irrationality, and Thundercracker's doubts started around the same time the air commander was given separate lodgings from his trine mates.

Megatron: You mean I could have avoided all this slag by just letting them share a room?!
Random 'Con: Yeah. Don't you feel dumb? *blasted for mouthing off*

2. Seeker programming dictates that all sparklings/younglings are to be prized and protected, even those which aren't seeker-framed. Their programming is such that even the circumstances surrounding the sparkling's creation don't factor in; if there is an endangered sparkling, a seeker will do anything to protect and provide for it.

Through some 'circumstances' one of the command trine winds up carrying a new-spark. When Megatron is informed by the Constructicons - the seekers went to them first to confirm their suspicions - he demands that the "parasite" be terminated. The seekers find out (oops, seems that Starscream was looking for their leader to inform him that the trine would take full responsibility and demand nothing from the co-creator) and make a run for it.

However, rather than flee to the Autobots, they declare neutrality... and ally themselves with a human air base in exchange for a safe place to stay until their sparkling is old enough for off-world travel.

3. Soundwave: Rumble. Frenzy. Explain.
Rumble: Hey, we didn't mean no harm!
Frenzy: Yeah, this is totally not our fault!
Soundwave: *stares at Cassettes, then turns attention to where Skywarp is fighting with Ravage over - a giant ball of tin foil*
Frenzy: Okay, so maybe we brought in that....
Starscream and Thundercracker: *mortified at Skywarp's behaviour, but they really would like the shiny ball too...*

I'm sorry, the idea of seekers going for shiny objects like cats and some species of birds cracks me up XD

4. Seeker trines are not formed haphazardly or at random; they're actually sparked in threes and maintain the connection their entire lives. Although they can (and often do) take other mates, seekers are happiest when with their brothers and/or sisters.

5. Starscream possess an immortal spark. He also shares a bond with Thundercracker and Skywarp. Which means - technically - TC and Warp are just as unkillable as Screamer. Too bad it took Megatron blowing a gasket and trying to offline Warp for them to find that out.... Now the trine is pissed off and out for blood, and there's not much that can stop mechs that refuse to die.

6. Art bunny. Seeker puppy pile.

7. The Autobots all knew that Skyfire was reluctant to discuss his past relationship with Starscream and thought it was because they shared a romantic history. What they find out - much later and due to unforeseen circumstances - is that Skyfire is actually Starscream's creator... and that Thundercracker and Skywarp are his creations as well. And apparently the only thing that really sets off Skyfire's virtually non-existent temper/rage is a threat to his babies... Megatron should probably start running.
