With the capture of the Decepticon SIC the Autobots are presented with an odd method of defeating their foes; time travel. It seems that Starscream has more up his sleeve than just science and cunning, the Seeker possessing a spark which can open and travel through rends in time. With ready access to the Seeker held in their brig the Autobot scientists are able to create a synthetic of what Starscream does and, in effect, make a time machine. Optimus Prime along with some of his most trusted soldiers utilizes this new technology to warp back to the days of early Cybertron, before Megatron’s days of glory in the gladiatorial arena, in order to defeat their adversary while he is still inexperienced in the art of war. But they seem to have over shot the landing and find themselves confronting not a young warrior but an innocent sparkling and his timid, if determined, caregiver. Now the Prime finds himself in the worst type of moral dilemma; should he kill the sparkling Megatron for something he hasn’t done yet, possibly having to kill Bluestar to do so, or let him live and try to defeat the tyrant as he shall one day be? Another problem soon arises; how are the time-travelers going to get home? Bluestar might be able to help with the second problem, if they leave his charge alone. …And suddenly Starscream’s pleading before they left for them not to go makes so much more sense…
‘It’s our fault Megatron’s like this isn’t it?’ ‘…I told you not to go.’
