The art of being a thug

This is inspired by (read: almost directly ripped from) a fanfic from another fandom, but it fit my view of the Decepticons as a whole so well that I couldn't just leave it. Million brownie points to anyone who can accurately name the source.
In the early days of the war, when the Decepticons were scouring the neutral territories for new soldiers, there was a simple test that the rookies had to pass before they could expect any sort of respect from the veterans:
Among Decepticons, calling a fellow Decepticon "fragger" means you might like him. Or you're gonna smash his optic by way of greeting, depending on whether he took your high-grade or not.

Among Decepticons, calling a non-Decepticon "fragger" is a sign to your fellow Decepticons that you're gonna beat the slag outta the fragger. Your Decepticon fragger friends will accordingly position themselves around the room so that the non-Decepticon fragger's fragger friends (other fraggers) won't try to frag with you while you frag up (or get fragged up by) that first fragger.
And should you lose, don't bother trying to explain it away, 'cause your commanding officer already knows and is in the process of figurin' out a way to make you pay for it, ya fraggin' eyesore.
And when THAT starts making sense, you've been fully ingrained into the Decepticon forces.
