Yeah, it'd have to be a pretty big one to have caused an extinction-level event. And now poor Metroplex has been buried wherever for what even for a Cybertronian has to be a long time. And depending on which timeline you go for, he wouldn't even know about the war.

I was thinking a refugee/city ship/ huge energon refining ship. The ship was going to crash after a battle with 'cons, the majority of the crew are saved and the ship is allowed to plummet to earth.

The reason why energon became to scarce on Cybertron is in part because of the loss of this Ginormous thing. It was the biggest ship they ever built... and the last ship that big they ever built.

Hmm... communities.... I usually go to transfiction to read stuff, But I'm sure you can find more places than that here by visiting Kittona's friends page. She watches several different fanfiction communities.
