It could, and does work (referring too comment above). The Datsun's would probably be the 'higher' class Seekers. They don't have to deal with the shock of suddenly getting wings.
Meanwhile, Lambo's are more on the lower class. They got the speed to do skimming, but when upgraded into their full-grown body, they have no idea what to do with the wings.
Of course, not all Datsun's and Lambo's have to be Seekers. It could be that only a small percentage of them are. So, imagine everyones surprise when it turns out that they are Seekers.
(Personally, I am still of the mind that Lambos were created in direct opposition of Seekers. Only Lambos jump on top of Seekers. Even Red did it in Auto Beserk)
