I can't find the place I was talking about before...but basically it explains that First Aid found Punch and a Decepticon he'd been fighting, both in critical condition (or sometihng like that). First Aid, being who he is, couldn't just let Punch die so he used parts from the Decepticon to keep Punch alive. This led to Punch's ability to be able to transform into 'Counterpunch'. Apparently Counterpunch (or the Decepticon whose parts he had) wasn't as 'gone' as first though, Punch doesn't know but he gets Blackouts and wakes up not knowing what happened, how he got somewhere, what time it was, etc. etc. Sometimes there are even dead bodies around.
That's all I really remember. If I find it I'll let you know...
