I admit to having never tried to write Hound, but I sympathize with the feeling.
Perceptor meeting Telemain is an image that has left me giggling hysterically. This needs to happen- why hasn't anybody thought of this before?
I'm not so sure about Wheeljack and inventing spells- it might be a bit out of his realm, but I might suggest giving them all innate magical powers upon entering the forest (or realm, whichever one prefers), just so Mendenbar can disentangle things after anyways. Because he's a harried King like that. :D
Also- Your icon=WIN! (if it means anything, it even made my Axel-muse snerk. That's pretty awesome)
