Apologies if someone else came up with this idea, but I can't remember seeing it anywhere before.

What if Prowl had been (insert correct PC term for developmentally challenged here)? Gifted in the area of tactics, but otherwise quite naive and childlike. Of course, his processor upgrades and battle computer enabled him to have not just the intelligence of a normal mech, but a genius.

Unfortunately Prowl's battle computer gets damaged, and he reverts to his unmodified state. For how long is up to you.

As an extra angsty option, since he is still physically an adult mech, with all the same desires as an adult, what does his partner do when he approaches them for love?

For even more angst, Prowl's creators never told him he was different, or that he needs the extra processors in his head to be like everyone else.
