1) TF:A - It's obvious that the Autobots and probably all Cybertronians revere and respect the Allspark. But what if there are some who take it a step further? What would some religious order of Primus who regards the Allspark as holy feel about 1) it's "scattering" by Optimus and 2) the fact that it bestowed a portion of its power on an organic protoform? World-view shaking sacrilige or is it "in accordance with prophecy"?

2) You know that Fanzone was considering taking Sari in during "Mission Accomplished". Wonder what his wife would think about that when she finds out?

3) TF2007 - Wheeljack lands on Earth but gets kinda sidetracked in going to meet up with the other Autobots. You see, he landed in San Francisco...and ran across the Mythbusters. ;)

4) Any canon - A quote from _Time Enough For Love_ by Robert Heinlein. "Companionship, partnership, mutual assurance, someone to laugh with and grieve with, loyalty that accepts foibles, someone to touch, someone to hold your hand - these things are 'marriage', and sex is but the icing on the cake. Yeah, there's a story behind this. Sis and I were headed to a mall one day (I'm driving), and we pass a CHP unit on the freeway. 'Course, we joke about me not being to view cop cars the same way anymore and then my sis actually tops me. She attends DeVry Pomona (tech school in Pomona, east of LA) and she's about to head home when she sees a police Hummer H2. First thing comes to her mind, in her words, was that she thought it was the lovechild of Ratchet and Barricade. Blames me for infecting her with TF.

I nearly ran into the center divider.

#1: What if multiple religious views existed within this same order?

The Allspark being bestowed on an organic, in particular, strikes me as a place where one religion could have huge internal conflicts about what it means. Sort of like the range of views on GLBT rights in Christian churches - you have churches that won't let GLBT people in the door, you have churches that perform same-sex marriage ceremonies and call them weddings no matter what the state says, and you have a whole collection of policies and positions in between.

So maybe one "denomination" of this religious sect would view the Allspark's power on an organic as in accordance with the prophecy somehow; another would view it as a sign that they must change with the changing times; and another would view said organic protoform as a dangerous heretic who was trying to lead the true believers astray with smoke and mirrors.

The possiblities are fascinating. Would be interesting to see Sari's reaction to a pack of Autobots treating her like a mini-Pope because of some blurb in the "ancient files" about someone who would bridge the gap or something equally esoteric. But I'm sure the thrill would wear off the moment another pack started calling for her to be burned at the stake or whatever it is Autobots do to heretics.

I wonder if the power of being mini-Pope would go to her head and she would start claiming infallibility and whatnot? I mean, there's nothing more fun when you're a kid (or an adult!) than the thought of never, ever being wrong.

Also... if the ancient files said something about bridging the gap... could Blackarachnia, a blend of organic and Cybertronian, present herself as the true fulfillment of the prophecy? And if she did so, how quickly would some of the Autobots gravitate toward her simply because she's a native of their planet rather than a native of Earth?

(And in non-bunny-related news - we share a couple communities and some mutual friends and all - would you mind if I friended you?)

Oh, it might. Until Ratchet archly points out recent times where she WAS very wrong and some "revered teacher" decided that, since she IS a protoform, she needs to be schooled in all aspects of the Writ and Rule of Primusism. Or people start expecting her to behave "holy". Or her self-appointed paladin/bodyguards get too intrusive. seiberwing and I had a little fun with that last night on AIM (Silverbolt as Sari's self-appointed holy guardian. Tremble. :) )

As for BA, it would depend on just how explicit those ancient files were on just what was being bridged: organic/inorganic, spiritual/physical, Primus/the rest of the universe or some combination of those. I can see some Cybertronians latching onto BA and saying that Sari's trying to usurp her rightful power. Leading to them trying to get the Key from Sari to return to its "rightful guardian". But, since she's a Decepticon, it would probably be only the really extreme xenophobes who do this. Others might think of her as a kind of Anti-Christ.

And I don't mind in the least. I'll friend you right back. :)

1. The thing with different religious groups viewing Sari either as something like a spiritual leader or, the other extreme, accusing her to be a heretic offers really many interesting possibilities.

I could imagine that some extreme group would demand "an eye for an eye" aka that they abduct Optimus and want to sacrifice his spark as some kind of atonement to Primus.
