From that point on, when a test subject asked Perceptor about the effects of his experiment, he would just smile mysteriously and say "You'll find out..."

*nods* Yeah, he knows better now than to scare his test subjects into running away.

...Though if the test subjects were smart, that smile alone would make them run.

Makes me think of those kiddy science kits. How on Cybertron could Perceptor have used the stuff in one of those to make poisonous acid?

An experiment is no fun if you know what the results will be, so Perceptor added a few chemicles he found lying around the place (Crazy Uncle Bob really needs to clean his house, doesn't he?). The only words he can read are science-related so he didn't know what he was pouring in there (expensive high-grade and Uncle Bob's Amazing Does Everything Cleaning Formula: Guaranteed To Eat Away At Even The Toughest Stains!). The high-grade was a pretty color and since the science kit was supposed to make crystals of a rather boring clear color, Perceptor thought that by adding the high-grade the crystals would be a pretty color too. He added the cleaning formula because it smelled good.

Though if Perceptor knew it would make crystals, I wonder why he wanted Ironhide to drink it. Maybe he wanted to see if Ironhide turned into a giant pretty crystal?

...I wonder if Perceptor (or Hound) ever owned one of those rock tumblers that makes the rocks all pretty and shiny. I had one of those once.

Perceptor did, until an older youngling named Wheeljack tried to improve it and somehow made it explode. Perceptor lost his rock tumbler and he wasn't allowed to play with Wheeljack anymore.

And don't tell anyone, but Hound still has his. He uses it so much that it's had to be rebuilt several times now. Beachcomber is beginning to wonder where all his rocks are disappearing to.

Having Shockwave for an older brother might be just as bad good as having Primus.

*totally agrees*

Never Change by spotlight_noa.

Thank you!

*also wants to float* Sorry, Perceptor, but the more reasonable explanation isn't nearly as satisfying as the possibility of flight.

Perceptor: *thinks* "Well, we'll just have to rewrite the laws of physics in order to allow those of us not equipped with a natural ability to fly or float to do so."
Wheeljack: *stares* "You can do that?"
Perceptor: *frowns in confusion* "You can't?"

Oh, it's not just him. This bunny concerns Cassettes in general.

... Sorry, everyone! *hides*

Yeah... so would they retain some sort of empathy for machines, like some humans are good with animals?

*nods* Not all of them, like not all humans are good with animals, but a lot of them.
