I suppose there could be two (or more) mirror-verses: one where the factions/motivations are switched, and one where each individual person's characteristics are reversed. For example, (to use a kirin_saga-type model), a universe with an evil Perceptor and a universe with a stupid, blind Perceptor.

Well, maybe Tracks & Powerglide were already good friends or even more before they met Raoul and Astoria. Then the two humans would kind of have to accept the situation the way it is. Or Tracks and Powerglide could get to know each other while trying to mediate between their human friends. Or Raoul and Astoria could really be moving toward a love/hate kind of relationship, and confuse the poor 'Bots tremendously. "But just yesterday you said you HATED him! Now you're dating him? How does that even work??" Or Raoul could hang out with Powerglide, and Astoria with Tracks when the humans aren't getting along with their usual Autobot buddies. *runs from growing bunny horde*

Now you're moving into the area of my personal canon, which insists that for every 'Bot there is an equal and opposite reaction 'Con, and vice versa. Not necessarily pairing-wise, but just a strange kind of cross-faction parallel or unusual dynamic.
For example: Optimus-Megatron, Skyfire (or Red Alert)-Starscream, Sideswipe-Skywarp, Sunstreaker-Thundercracker, Ratchet-Hook, Wheeljack (or Perceptor)-Mixmaster, Prowl (or Elita-1)-Shockwave, Jazz (or Blaster)-Soundwave, Grimlock (or Silverbolt)-Motormaster plus associated gestalt members, Steeljaw-Ravage, Rewind&Eject-Frenzy&Rumble...
