As for Perceptor, well I guess some of the Percy fans want a more hardcore alt for him, so he's secretly a triplechanger with a tank form.
Well, that makes sense. A microscope alt. form is kind of useless - it's tiny and it can't move on its own. But, where are his tank parts? And, wow, size discrepancy much?
Heh, yes! Know one really knows all that much about Soundwave because he keeps to himself so well.
And now Starscream is wondering if Soundwave's been replaced by an Autobot spy. Or reprogrammed. Or replaced by an alien. :P
Yeah, kinda like that, probably also like the Mini-cons in Armada though I've never seen any of Armada. Roller's only appearances in the G1 cartoon had him sounding like Artoo - probably because there was a guy working on the sound who'd worked for Lucasfilm. Laserbeak is also well known for sounding like a tie fighter.
A Star Wars vet worked on the Sound?! That is awesome beyond comparison. I haven't watched the cartoon in ages, so I forget what Laserbeak sounds like, but now I need to go trawl Youtube *trundles off*
