I was crusing my saved lj posts and came across this funny one about translating from SF-speak to English (Go read the whole thing! It's a side-splitter!). One of the definitions caught my eye.

"Rishathra is sexual congress, without the benefit of marriage, between two mutually sterile intelligent hominids, usually for the purpose of solemnizing a treaty or somesuch."

You know, Spike Witwicky is Earth's ambassador to Cybertron and presumably other worlds given his involvement with a different race's peace talks. What if they had to deal with a race that had such...practices?
