This G1 tape-bot crack!bunny will require an explanation...

I work the overnight shift at a radio news wire, writing and editing news stories for a bunch of affiliate stations. Part of my job is to monitor a bank of emergency scanners. Last night, I heard a call for one of the local fire departments to respond to a "transformer fire" - the kind of electrical thing that happens several times a night in a metro area the size of where I live - on a street called "Cosmos Drive."

Of course I immediately died laughing, revived myself and posted it on my personal blog (which is f-locked). And when one of my Transfan friends posted a reply consisting pretty much entirely of side-splitting laughter, I continued the fun by posting the following in reply to him...

[Cosmos]

Hello. I am glad to see that I could provide you some amusement. Fortunately, I am no longer on fire thanks to Inferno and his friend the enthusiastic pink femme-bot.
(Note: "enthusiastic pink femme-bot" refers to an OC firefighter-femme created by my friend's daughter)

On a related note, Eject is on waste detail for the next five planetary rotations. You see, he observed someone carrying out a practical joke known as a "hot foot" while watching something called Baseball, and decided it would be entertaining to try this joke on someone who cannot see his feet. Curse my necessarily bulbous midsection!

And that idea of Eject pranking Cosmos because of something he saw while watching the ballgame... gave me the idea of Eject actually being in the ballgame.

Whether you read the explanation or not - here's the bunny, for sports fans only... what if Eject got signed to a contract by a sports team? Would he be the guy pranking everyone in the dugout/locker room, or would he be the victim of all the pranks as the rookie usually is? And what kind of unspeakable, cracky havoc would a big ol' robot on a human sports team create? =D

Keeping in mind however that Eject is not all that big - I do recall recently watching some of the early G1 episodes and Spike got into a fight with Rumble (or Frenzy - which one's the blue one again?) and they were about the same size.

For that matter, the episode of season 3 that a group of them got sent to another dimension (one with a wizard), Rewind was about the same size as the humans too.

Rumble is *usually* the Blue one.

And yea - just as the Cassettes are the smallest - R & F were usually shown as the same size as Bumblebee - who was the smallest of the Minibots.

So Eject *playing* on the team, is rather possible. Though I SaH wouldn't want to be the poor sap trying to catch one of his throws ;-)

Unless you choose to go with the Marvel G1 Comics rendition of the cassettes. Rumble/Frenzy in the comics was a good head and shoulders taller thant he humans at the munitions factory they took over.
