tf_bunny_farmAs a late Christmas present, I'm willing to take requests from anyone here. I know I'll regret this later. The only requirements are, one, it needs to be short enough to fit as a reasonably sized oneshot, and two, it has to involve Perceptor in some way. What can I say? I'm a total sucker for the microscope. ;-) And my apologies if the cut doesn't work. It's not agreeing with me today. :/
1. “Look at that balloon! While it could float, it was tied to the ground by a string. Now that it can’t rise anymore, the string is gone. Oh, isn’t that sad? The one time it is granted its freedom, it can no longer fly.”
2. (This is a biggy, guys! D: ) AU. The Autobots are a tribe of Native Americans. The Decepticons are a group of white settlers sent to clear them off. The Autobots are not going to be bribed or moved off of their ancestral land. Ratchet (Hands Which Heal) and Wheeljack (Hands Which Create and Destroy) are two young men in the tribe, and their friend, Perceptor (Eyes that See All), is a young woman their age. They have known her and been very close friends since they were born. For nearly as long, both of them had been sweet on her, though they both had vowed to never pressure their friend into a relationship that she didn’t want. Now, the Decepticon white men are fed up trying to convince the Autobots to leave. They start taking the land by force, and they take over a waterfall near the ground where they live, which is an extremely spiritual place for the Autobots and is the only place one can go to to guarantee being able to communicate with the spirits and ancestors of the tribe. It was a place that Perceptor, one of the more clairvoyant Autobots, often visited.
The Autobots pick their strongest and fastest young men to fight a battle against the Decepticons, and Ratchet and Wheeljack are picked. Perceptor is devastated and she has a vision of them dying in battle. She begs them to not go, and they in turn say that they have to. They tell her to take care of herself, and they almost tell her that they love her, but they leave just before they finish the sentence. She is able to get what they were going to say, though, and she almost stops them to say that the feelings were returned.
Then she gets slammed with another vision of them dying.
And then a vision of what will happen if she helps.
She decides that she doesn’t care what happens as long as Ratchet and Wheeljack are safe. Above the protests of Beachcomber—he was not chosen to go to battle because he had a permanent limp that came from a fall as a child—she runs into the woods and goes to the waterfall that the Decepticons had taken.
She prays at the waterfall and begs her ancestors and the spirits of the forest and everything in it to save her loved ones and make the Decepticons leave for good. The spirits oblige. Just before Wheeljack is killed from a Decepticon’s knife and Ratchet dies from a gun wound, the spirits/animals of the forest come to the tribe’s rescue and drives away the Decepticons. The Decepticons don’t come back again because they think the place is a hotspot for rabid animals.
The Autobots in battle suffered no fatalities, and when Ratchet and Wheeljack run to the waterfall to tell Perceptor that they were still alive, they find her with her throat cut at the foot of the water. A Decepticon had snuck up behind her and slit her throat while she was in a trance, speaking to the spirits, and not noticing what was happening around her. (Optional: She left a note for them in her tipi.)

Perceptor was kind and gentle, but no one had an inkling on how thin a thread his sanity hung by ever since an awful trauma during one of his kidnappings by the Decepticons. He clings to the thread desperately because he knows that, if he ever let it go, he would hurt and perhaps kill all who he holds dear and close to his spark.
5. He was trapped. He just didn’t know it.
6. Perceptor was taken away. No one knew to where, or by who, or why. They searched and searched, but he was never to be found. They didn’t know that he was turned into a young human girl, wiped of his memories save for dreams. She was in a prison in the sky, waiting with the other lost girls for someone to come and find them. But few girls are found. Some girls there are still waiting after being taken up there from the Dark Ages, and even further back. Perceptor just waits, hopes, and dreams. Ooh, requests! I would so like to make one, but I can't think of any ideas simple enough for a one-shot! >_
