...because, somehow, all my seeker bunnies are finding homes all over the net. It makes me so happy! *cries in joy*
1. Eight prompts courtesy of the Random Prompt Generator:
(2007)
Ratchet / Starscream / alone together
Barricade / Blackout / suspicious behaviour
Megatron / Bumblebee / reminisce
Starscream / Mikaela Banes / traitor
Ratchet / Bonecrusher / inside
(G1)
Thrust / Drag Strip / touch
Shockwave / Blurr / club
Optimus Prime / Scrapper / after midnight
2. Groups of seeker trines tend to appear together for one major reason: if a mech takes a seeker for a mate, he's actually taking the entire trine as his mates. Most Cybertronians don't know this, and it's why seekers tend to mate only with other seekers (and their trines) as a general rule.
(2A) Megatron, being totally unaware of this, decides that the best way to keep from being stabbed in the back by Starscream is to claim him as his mate. Needless to say, when Thundercracker and Skywarp show up to demand he follow tradition, Megatron is a little flummoxed.
(2B) Soundwave is perfectly aware of this seeker quirk, and sets out to seduce one of the Decepticon trines. (Admit it, the stunned expressions on everyone's faces while Soundie is attempting to woo three seekers at once would be hilarious!)
(2C) The Autobots find out about this tendency when Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp show up and start demanding to see Skyfire; they've been separated for a very long time, and a 'minor' blow-up between Screamer and Fire doesn't mean the four of them are any less mated.
3. Seekers are prone to being more highly-strung than other types of Cybertronians, and the only thing that can calm them down is time spent surrounded only by their own kind. Needless to say, there are a lot of very confused mechs when someone (either an Autobot or Decepticon scout) stumbles across the Datsuns secluded in an out-of-the-way cave with both Decepticon trines, with none of the group being too pleased with 'outsiders intruding on seeker business.'
4. Starscream never wanted to join the Decepticons; he was given no choice in the matter as the life of his mate (not Skyfire, but another Autobot) was threatened should he refuse. The reason he stays is because he wants revenge against the 'cons for causing so much undue stress that he lost the developing-sparkling he was carrying at the time.
(4A) Starscream's mate is unaware of what happened, only finding out accidentally when the seeker is brought into the Autobot base seriously injured and it's discovered that Starscream's spark shows all signs of having once carried a sparkling. Since the seeker has no offspring....
(4B) Starscream's mate is fully aware of what happened, and has convinced his mate to feed information to the Autobots, passing it along without naming his source.
A teeny part of me wants to say Screamer's mate is Ratchet or Red Alert, but it could literally be any Autobot.
5. (Brace yourselves, this one is long.) The seeker code is an absolute that most seekers live by, even in the early days of the war. During the destruction of Praxus, three Decepticon "sky-born" seekers without actual trine-links pick up on a distress call from a "flightless." Each one checks in with their wing leader, only to be told by that seeker to ignore the signal. The three all opt to ignore their instructions and converge to locate the source.
By the time two other "flightless" arrive with the Autobots in search of survivors, Starscream has literally ripped his insignia off and is keeping a traumatized Bluestreak centered, Skywarp is cursing the entire 'con army as he works on scraping away his own insignia, and Thundercracker is ready to offer the services of his newly-formed trine to the Autobots. So who are Prowl and Smokescreen to refuse?
Yes, I have been bitten hard by the "Datsuns are flightless seekers" bunny. And in my own head, "flightless" and "sky-born" are perfectly fitting terms that would likely only be used by the seekers.

Date: 2009-02-04 02:00 am (UTC)2B. This is going to happen in Rings! You are freaking me out!
3. I really want to do this one...
4&4A. ... This would be a fun one to squish with 2. Especially with a Twins/Blue... 'N the reason Blue was so traumatized after Praxus fell was cause he thought his bondmate had turned against him, so he turns to the Twins over time... then Starscream gets caught and TC n' Warp show up. Sprinkle in the Seeker code, cause Screamer finally told his trinemates what Megs did... *mutters to self* Seeker/Twins pile on Blue'n'Screamer for comfort interfacing... *happy glazed look*
5. ... Arrgh! I told you to stop it! This could totally be a Rings AU! Do you have any idea how confusing and AU of an AU is?
