One Bunny....

And, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure if it's a thought-provoking bunny or a cracked-out bunny... I'm trying to write smut and my brain's giving me this instead.

It's generally assumed that twins look alike or at least similar (the Lambo twins and Cassetticon look-alikes come to mind). It's also generally assumed that twins take on similar or identical alt modes.

So when someone uncovers information that Red Alert has a twin, the Autobots figure that his twin was killed early in the war back on Cybertron and that's why he's never mentioned it. The reason why Red Alert has never said anything about it is because his twin is part of the Decepticon aerial fleet... and the idea of twins with vastly different alt modes is impossible for most mechs to comprehend.

Hell, I'm not even 100% sure what was going through my head to birth this bunny, but the possibilities on who are pretty open to be anyone. I'd love to see this done so much!

It would make sense, considering the one where Red's glitch went fritzy. Red Alert is paranoid that the Autobots are out to get his job, and Starscream was 'thrown to the wind' by Megatron, so the two twins team up. And Starscream knows that when Red's glitch flairs up, his nul-rays calm it down. The whole thing about him about to explode could've been a side-effect from the missile that shot him while his glitch was active (saw the episode 2 days ago). Also, the two are both red and white in color.

That's one definite possibility. (I need to rewatch that episode, so many G1 eps make me nostalgic...) And the fact that one twin is a 'bot and the other a 'con (and a treasonous one at that if Starscream is the other twin) could shed a whole new light on that 'twins have differing personalities' and 'twins are better off close together' aspects; maybe part of Starscream's insubordination and Red Alert's glitch acting up a bit more lies in the fact that they have been away from one another far, far too long even if it was by choice - like maybe they thought they would hedge their bets and wind up okay no matter who won the war if they opted to join different sides?

Oh, definitely. The size difference between OP and Roller alone would boggle most minds, but try to say that they're twins and a lot of processors would wind up crashing!
