Short List This Time...

 I don't have a lot of time to churn out bunnies. Finals are coming up! D: Put I had time to put down a couple new ones and a couple old ones sitting innocently in my notebook. :)

1. Cybertron had its own Holocaust, started by Decepticons targeting the unnatural—the triplechangers, the femmes, the innate creators (people built specifically to give ‘organic’ birth of sparklings), and people that go against design (a scientist that was built to be a warrior, an entertainer that was built to be a laborer, etc.). Most Autobots ran before they got caught up in it. People like Springer were able to see it coming, fight off the Decepticons that came to take them away, and run to the Autobots. People like Elita-1 and Chromia went underground when they got spooked. But, there were those that were too naïve to believe the nightmarish stories. Perceptor was unlucky enough to fit into each category that the Decepticons were persecuting, and he was one of the too naïve people. He was one of the few survivors of the concentration camps, but after his experience, he went through great lengths to hide each trait that had gotten him in that position. In everyone’s optics, he was just a normal mech, born and bred into the scientific profession. When he hears about the human’s Holocaust, it triggers an onslaught of suppressed memories and emotions that he had been ignoring and hiding for years.

 

2. Perceptor is an innate creator, and he and his two daughters, just before the war, were forced into Decepticon concentration camps during the Cybertron Holocaust. When he was there, he was forced to make a choice: which of his daughters would live and which of them would be burned alive in the pits? He was forced to choose the healthiest, more resourceful daughter over the sweet, imaginative, naïve daughter who wouldn’t have lived a day in the camp. He was tormented by the decision deeply, even after it was made, and his living daughter, consumed by grief, tells him that it is his fault that her sister is dead. After they’re saved by Autobots, he doesn’t share a single detail of his experience in the camp with anyone and his daughter disowns him, disgusted. Thousands of years later, he still has chronic nightmares and wakes up, grieving anew for his daughters, but he has practically buried everything in a shroud of vague lies and truths mixed up together. Unknowing of his stay at the camps, someone starts to talk to him about the human version of the Holocaust. Memories burst out in rapid-fire flashbacks and that never ends well.

1. The naïve daughter was also the most perceptive and understanding, and she never actually died. She was simply taken away and Perceptor saw another girl that looked vaguely like her burn in the pits. When she comes of age, she searches for her creator and sister.
2. She finds Perceptor first and, when she sees how sad he is, she immediately explains what happened and that she understood his decision and forgave him for it.
3. She did this in front of one or more of the Autobots.

“Wait, back up—you have kids?!”

4. She finds her sister first.
5. She’s not alive at all, and after so many years to contemplate, the living daughter sets out to find her creator to make things right.

 

3. ??: Your friend, Perceptor? I’ve seen his type a thousand times. He was probably part a’ the child sex trafficking industry as a kid. It’s written all o’er his face. Da way he sorta scuttles silently when he walks, da way he is quiet an’ soft when talking—dey pick dat habit up ‘cuz their owners don’t like it when dey talk loud durin’ anythin’ but sex, and dey never like any kind a’ perceived rebellion an’ belligerence—da way he is always so gentle an’ kind an’ stuff… he’s a classic burier. He di’n’t like what was happenin’ ta him, but he was smart enough ta know that there was nothin’ he could do about it. So he buried ‘is emotions about it, see? He expects ev’ryone ta try ta take advantage a’ him again, ‘cuz ev’ryone ‘e knew as a kid did it. Da possibility tha’ someone may not hurt him… it don’t exist in ‘is head. There’s only da people who’ll make him hurt when dey do it an’ da people who’ll be nice, an’ he likes the nice ones ‘cuz he don’t know any other kinda nice. He jus’ lies back and let it happen ta him. Maybe, at dis point, he’d be okay wit’ it if it was one a’ da nice ones. Sparklings in da industry’d either react like him an’ bury stuff, star’ wearin’ a cold mask ta hide ev’rythin’, or let it all out. Either way, all a’ them ‘r sittin’ on a lotta anger. Somethin’ like that needs to be dealt with.

 

4. G1 MV Ratchet: *talking to Animated Wheeljack and Animated ??* I don’t think you understand. You see, it makes an enormous amount of sense. No matter how much you want to deny it, our Perceptors are really alike. They both are intelligent. They both want to learn. They both are at least a little flippant when it comes to the morality of their work.

Animated Wheeljack: *growls* Watch it.

G1 MV Ratchet: They both are determined. They both are creative. They both are diligent. They both practically have no soul.

Animated Wheeljack: *slams hands on table* *fins and optics flash threateningly* Watch your mouth!

G1 MV Ratchet: It’s true and the more you deny it, the harder it is to deal with. They both are afraid of, and therefore hate, what could possibly make them feel real, genuine emotion. They both are counterparts. More importantly, they both know that, as counterparts, some form of sparks are going to fly whenever they interact. They might hate each other more fiercely than Megatron and Optimus hate each other, or they may fall in a sort of love that only occurs once in a billion years, but it will be some strong reaction. Here is the really important part—how they react is where the identicalness ends. When your Perceptor knows something might break through his soulless exterior, he withdraws and avoids it at all costs. When our Perceptor knows something might break through his soulless exterior, he completely annihilates it in the most damning manner possible.

 

5. A harmless stalker-like femme/mech is very interested in Perceptor. At first, Percy is okay with being kind and patient while still giving no indication that the feelings were reciprocated. Then the admirer gets a little creepy and Ratchet/Wheeljack/Brawn/Beachcomber/combination of any of them agrees to act as his significant other(s) to deter her.

 

6. Xover with Unwind. Perceptor, Wheeljack, Jazz, and a handful of other Autobots find themselves in another dimension—one that was several years in the future without any Cybertronian influence. They find out that they need to find Perceptor’s, Wheeljack’s, and Jazz’s counterparts to get back home, but there’s a problem—all three people were unwound as teenagers for various reasons. The Unwind, Wheeljack, had been a misunderstood ward of the state and the constant explosions that came from his otherwise brilliant inventions were interpreted as incompetence, and budget cuts demanded his unwinding. Perceptor was always curious, and one day he found out that his stepfather was cheating on his mother. Before he had a chance to tell his mother about this, his stepfather (who disliked children at any rate) convinced his mother that the fate of their marriage hung on Perceptor’s unwinding. Jazz had been a small-time troublemaker, and one day he tried the highly illegal substance of alcohol. His parents signed the Unwind order that day. When the Autobots find out what unwinding actually means, they realize with sickened sparks that it would be impossible to find their counterparts. However, someone gives them a flicker of hope. A man, Admiral Dunfee, tells them a story about his unwound son and how he got him back for a few precious minutes. With new hope, they set out to find all the people they need. Unfortunately, some are a little more reluctant to allow the ‘dirty Unwind’ within possess them.

 

7. Brawn is in love with Perceptor and has no clue how to express it. The twins and Jazz find this incredibly amusing.

 

8. Unwind xover: Cybertron has its own system of unwinding. Perceptor is captured by the Decepticons, and the Autobots have to save him before they decide to unwind him.

 

9. In Spanish, time is feminine. Perceptor has been called the embodiment of time in bunnies. Perceptor = Mother Time!

 

10. Sonic Adventures/Transformers crossover. (Optional: Perceptor/Shadow. Let’s see who can pull that off!)

 

11. Perceptor and Beachcomber, a while after they met, exchanged energon to become blood-brothers.

 

12. Perceptor has a virus that causes violent seizures.

 

13. Cybertronian mosquitoes.

 

14. Perceptor gets infected by a virus Rumble and Frenzy created. Ratchet couldn’t find anything wrong at first, but then Perceptor started acting odd. He transformed into a murderous, mindless, slobbering monster during the full moon. When left alone during these times, he turns on himself and rips himself apart. The aggressive mechs want to put the wolf down. Perceptor is a werewolf.

 

16. ??: You’re not getting raped! How are you doing the sad face?

 

17. Text: OMG, I’m getting raped :(

19. Perceptor gets turned into a giant spider.

 

20. Perceptor is hit by lightning and disappears into a spirit realm. Everyone thinks he’s dead.

 

21. Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Perceptor, when they were first stationed together, get rained in inside an old ruin on Cybertron alone. They went in with a somewhat strained, distant, even hostile relationship, but by the time they get out, they’re the dearest friends. What happened or what was said that night?

 

22. Perceptor is stranded in an Egyptian desert. Then he stumbles upon a group of creatures that happen to be ancient gods. This is going to be a very weird day.

 

23. Perceptor: You’re the only sane one here.

Hermes: Eh, you should see some of my cousins.

Perceptor: What will happen if I stop hiding?

Hermes: Aphrodite’s going to get someone you know to jump you, Ares is going to try to follow you back to the Cybertronians again, and the rest of the family is going to be laughing their ass off.

Perceptor: *sighs*

Hermes: At least you are in Athena’s and my good books…?

Perceptor: *sighs*

 

24. Perceptor meets the goddess of the Earth, Gaia, while his mind is separate from his body. His physical body is in critical condition and no matter what his friends do, he’s dying quickly.

 

25. Perceptor was turned into a human teenage girl and had his memories wiped clean to be replaced with new ones. Perceptor, now Pine, is fully convinced she is the daughter of two neo-hippies and has a highly conservative family completely convinced that anything Cybertronian is of the devil. This proves to be an obstacle when the Autobots try to help him.

4. Probably. :D But it's the mirrorverse Percy, so I was thinking more like... break him mind and soul until he killed himself.

Yeah. He used to be very popular, but I guess it fell out a little when school started really cooking people up. I'm always obsessed with him, so you'll always see Percy bunnies with me.

I love the idea of a Cybertronian Holocaust, though I think Perceptor needs some company in the camps. Maybe Springer wasn't successful in his escape attempt. Maybe Blaster (as a natural creator?) got caught as well. And would a teleporter and someone who can turn invisible count as unnatural? And what about Gestalts?

So many possibilities.

And maybe it would also be like the Holocaust in the fact that some of the victims started working for the Decepticons! (There were a bunch of Polish SS men, and Jews/homosexuals/Gypsies/etc. were 'selected' if they were strong enough to actually work in the crematoriums and as sort-of-kind-of SS men.)

Yeppers. Time in Spanish = "tiempo", a masculine word. (Most words that end in "o" in Spanish are masculine, but there are a few exceptions. Tiempo is not one of them.)

'Unwind'?

It's one of the creepiest books I've ever read. Read it.

Unwinding is an accepted practice in this futuristic society. It's the practice of, basically, parents or guardians deciding that their child has to go for one reason or another (they are financially incapable of supporting the child or the child is unruly). When the child is between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, their guardians have the right to send them to an Unwind Camp ran by the government.

To unwind a teenager means to take them apart and give their organs and body parts to other people who need/want transplants for various (sometimes rather superficial) reasons. That way, they don't 'die,' their soul is just spread out over many people! :D
