1. I'm sure most Seeker-fans out there know Katsuko's stories.
In her story "Greedy" she created an "G1/Megatron Origin" -AU in which Frenzy, Rumble and Ratbat were his Creations from the beginning and weren't reformatted into Cassetticons against their will. (Well, Ratbat was. He had way too much fun being a shady member of the senate.)
Now, Soundwave has all his Creations save where he wants them - aside from one of them.
His oldest Creation, upgraded into a normal mech form eons before the war started and the crisis became obvious, still is running around and causing chaos in his own unique way. Even daddy isn't quite sure if he does it intentionelly or not.
But old 'Wave was a real sucker for his oldest Creation, his little darling with the quickest mind ever, his charm and his curiosity.
So what will he do?
a) Will he spoil Starscream's fun and reformat him into Cassette mode before his precious son manages to get himself killed (Megatron shooting him the most probable cause of his death)?
b) Will he watch his Creation on his road to the pit, only trying to offer advice and to soothe Megatron?
c) Will he tell Megatron (and the other Decepticons) about his oldest Creation hoping he could scare them away with the usually very effecient "hurt the Cassetticon and the Cassetteplayer will hurt you"-logic?
d) Or will he finally admit that yes, Ratchet had been right when telling him that his Creation was far too young to be upgraded into a mature form?
Naturally, there is a reason for this: Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp are only wing mates, not trine mates as well.
Starscream's real trine gives the term "Command Trine" a completely new meaning.
His trine mates are Megatron and Soundwave and the three has a spectacular argument, after which Starscream declared a personal war on his two fellow trine and bond mates and became the screechy and treacherous SIC we all know and love.
Doing this he managed to piss off Shockwave too, after all, TC and Warp can't help to be drawn into the private war of their wing mate and spend far too less time with THEIR third trine mate in the progress.
Your mission, should you accept it, is to find a way to bring all trines back together.
Bonus points for the argument being over a hilarious and insignificant matter (not being "who is on top") and for those who feel ready to do it (I don't!) for a "making up and making out" scene.

The trine mate is Shockwave, our logic wonder.
He is ready to kill Screamer only to get some time with his mates. Why do you think he's so cold and distant? He pouts that he hasn't his two lover boys with him.

Date: 2009-07-11 01:58 pm (UTC)Megatron accidently let it slip that Starscream's paintjob reminded him of Prime (nd Soundwave's in trouble just because he didn't immediately take Starscream's side on the matter).

It certianly is correct that Screamer is one of the few Cons whose pain job consists of entirely "pure" colors and reminds everybody of the Autobots.
It's just too bright for a proper Con.
Poor Soundwave, caught between two forces of natures, perhaps only because he was too stunned to comment immediately.
Or he didn't pay attention?
Who knows when exactly Megatron came to his conclusion.
Perhaps after, before or in a making out (or more) session?
Meaning it to be a compliment or wanting to say more?
Oh, the possibilites. XD

Well, that is all true. I can imagine Megatron was trying to compliment Starscream's paintjob, and Starscream kept twisting his words to this. (Or Megatron is just that bad at compliments) XD

Or he didn't pay attention?
He was busy with the cassettes (or basking in afterglow), and couldn't shift his focus to the issue at hand fast enough.
Who knows when exactly Megatron came to his conclusion.

"Well, I think the purple insignia suit you. They certainly make your colours look more balanced than Prime's."
"... Are you saying that I look like Prime?"
*apparently unaware of the dangerous tone, and the fact he should be backtracking FAST* "That wasn't the point-"
"You do! I don't believe you. Oh, and I suppose you think so too, Soundwave?!"
"Soundwave: Not involved in this conversation"
"You both do! Arg, I don't have to take this!" *somehow slams a sliding door*
"..."
"...Megatron: Your fault"

I would love to see this story. And the Autobots finding out. Would they offer advice because they hope that happy Cons are good and peaceful Cons or would they try to make the best of the opportunity?
