I need help with a story.

I'm writing a story in the 07 verse, and I need something drastic that Starscream could do to threaten both Earth and (the dead) Cybertron. And it needs to be big enough to require the need of Primus. Things I don't want are a black hole not copying Cybertron or Unicron. Though canon to my knowledge has never had Unicron and Primus duke it out. Suggestions would be really appreciated. Thank you.

You could try working in the Allspark fragment somehow...err...
I dunno, I like the idea of Primus and Unicron having an evil twin deathmatch. (*wink wink*)
Maybe Starscream finds out that Cybertron is really a giant transformer, and tries to control it and sick it on Earth...? That's what popped into my head.

That sounds like an interesting idea. Maybe Starscream takes control of Primus when Primus is in deep stasis lock and is not aware of what his body is being made to do? In order to stop Starscream, they need to somehow wake Primus up, which could call for an expedition to Cybertron's core. What do you think?

Or maybe Starscream somehow discovered a way to merge Cybertron and Earth? This would require the two to crash into each other and fuse together, which would destroy all life on Earth. Cybertron would therefore possesses Earth's resources and would be able to once again support life. Theoretically, at least.

Yeah... these comments are starting to remind me of the Armaggedon movie.

Anyhow:
1 - Starscream threatens to unleash a computer virus. Thus threatening the lives of every Cybertronian, and all the human technology (we're rather dependent on that stuff). Granted, Primus is also a computer, so I'm not sure how he can help.
2 - Starscream goes the Star-Wars-Kyp-Durran-Suncrusher route and creates a ship with weapons that can detonate a sun. In the Star Wars (book) verse, it detonates the sun, wiping out the solar system. But in your case, you could make him just vanish or relocate the star. The Earth requires the sun for its entire ecosystem, and as for Cybertron, well, cybertronians can survive, but they need energon, and while they have expeditions searching for energon, they've been [my take on it] barely scraping by on converting solar power to energon. Without the sun, Cybertron will starve. [Meanwhile, Primus is trying to sleep, but he's uncomfortable since his "feet" are cold, and so he "rolls over" (read fires up his engines and travels) to another solar system with a nice warm sun.]
-On a completely unrelated note, in the Star Wars books, there's an organic planet with organic engines capable of space travel, named Zonama Sekot. I'm seeing Primus crossing paths with him and saying hello. Or Sentinel being completely disgusted with Primus' organic "twin".
3. (Crack) Starscream has managed to recruit Soundwave to his side, and with his (and his cassettes) help, has taken over the airwaves on both Cybertron and Earth. He threatens to broadcast his singing voice 24/7 unless his demands are met.
4. The space bridge can connect Cybertron with Earth. Starscream, scientist that he is, has managed to add a third connection that is set to broadcast/send only. Using this, he threatens to send nuclear/other weapons to destroy both planets at once.

Note, if Starscream's attacking both planets, he needs to either have a quick way to get between planets, or he needs an ally to lead the second attack. His clones may make the perfect generals. *Or* he's gotten ahold of his twins Jetfire & Jetstorm somehow.

Anyhow, best of luck on your story. And you should post a link to it. Be a shameless self promoter. (It'll also let us see where you're going with it and help us give you ideas.)

as all of your ideas are great (I have to tell my brother about your sidenote, he's a star wars nut), some or most won't quite work unless they're tweaked. Though one of us needs to write the crack one. That made me ROTF laughing my shiny metal aft off. :D

Anyway, I guess I was pretty vague. I really don't want to give any spoilers for part 3 of this story, which is when in the story it's gonna take place, but I will say this much.

It's about two human cousins, who are as close as twins, who befriend Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. (07 verse, thought up about 2 years ago). Then, they become transformers. (I am desperately trying to lower the sue-count. Luckily I haven't gotten more than sue tendencies.) So, in order to save the universe (or at least their two planets) the twins and the cousins need to go on a quest.

And thanks for the idea. I'll keep that in mind. Especially since I heard that there might be something similar to those in ROTF. Not sure since I haven't seen the film yet. (sucks being broke). If there are, I'll probably go that way, but... I'll stop pulling a Bluestreak now. :D
