1. The Quintessons didn't exactly stop production when they were chased off of Cybertron. It continued on, though on a much lower scale and the bots, while sentient, didn't have the numbers to free themselves.

9. Optimus says something stupid, doesn't realize it, and wonders why everyone is laughing at him.

33. During a routine exam, Ratchet notices old evidence of tampering in Perceptor's CPU. His personality components, to be exact.
34. Perceptor used to be rather vague and prone to wandering off and forgetting where he is... until someone tried to fix him.
35. Perceptor was kidnapped by the Decepticons when he was a youngling and forced to work with them. A while later, an Autobot is sent to assassinate the scientist who is helping the Decepticons to win the war. What will the Autobot do when he learns his target is actually a captive youngling?

69. 2007. The humans have found Megatron... and now all they need to do is drag him to the Hoover Dam.
70. "He's survived a point blank shot from a fusion cannon. I don't think a simple laser gun is going to hurt him all that much."
71. Perceptor ran away from home when he was a sparkling.
72. Perceptor is the creation of Megatron and Optimus. They used to be happy together, but then they started arguing over Perceptor's upbringing. Things began to escalate; verbal arguments turned into one-on-one physical battles. Eventually, they began fighting about other things and things escalated even further; one-on-one battles turned into small army against small army turned into larger army against larger army turned into... full scale war. The war may now be about Cybertron and energon and protecting the humans, and Megatron and Optimus may have forgotten what truly started things, but Perceptor knows that this war is his own fault.
73. Skywarp may not be the smartest of the Seekers but, surprisingly, he was the sanest.
74. It confused Optimus sometimes; knowing how rough and violent the Dinobots could be, and then seeing them with Perceptor, seeing how gentle they were with the scientist.
75. What if the 'war' was just a game of pretend played by sparklings on the playground?
76. Perceptor and Optimus are bondmates yet everyone, including their closest friends, believe that Optimus is bonded to Elita One. Perceptor doesn't reveal the truth as Optimus has asked him not to... and he can't help but feel that Optimus is ashamed of him.
77. Optimus sends Wheeljack and Perceptor on vacation. Ratchet tags along to supervise.
78. A Perceptor with nothing to do is a very dangerous Perceptor.
79. The builders and designers of the Ark built Perceptor a secret lab, one that not even Optimus knows about. What does Perceptor do there that he can't do in his main lab?
80. 2007. Perceptor and Blaster (and cassettes) arrived on Earth during the 1700s and have been hiding all this time.
81. Perceptor's vision is completely dependent on his lens barrel. Disable that and he's blind.
82. Perceptor's universal emulator... What exactly is it? The Decepticons want to know. But what they find may change the tides of this war... and perhaps the very definition of life itself.
83. 2007. The Allspark, although destroyed, still functions. It had a back-up, a piece of itself that it had created long ago (before it was launched) within an Autobot at the time of the Autobot's 'birth'. Not even Perceptor knows what his universal emulator really is... until strange things start happening around him. Note: Seems almost identical to number 82, I know. This wasn't intentional. 82 is G1; 83 is 2007.
84. "Don't you dare call Perceptor a lost cause!"
85. "Man, Perceptor's in a mood."
86. Perceptor: "I don't want to be so important."
87. Jazz: "Why do you hate Perceptor so much?"
?: "Because he hit me and insulted me."
Jazz: "That... doesn't sound like Perceptor."
Ratchet: "Wait... that's what this is all about?"

Ratchet: "He was a sparkling! He bopped you on the nose and called you a big meanie. He doesn't even remember doing it!"
?: "He still insulted me!"
88. Perceptor: *is scared* "I... I can't..."
?: "Yes, you can, Perceptor. Just... just try."
89. 2007. During the search for the Allspark, Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, Blaster, and Perceptor crash on a nightmare world. Every day is a struggle just to survive. They barely have the resources to stay alive, let alone leave the planet. Then they receive Optimus' transmission...
90. Perceptor enjoys Kup's stories almost as much as the Dinobots do.
91. While the crews of the Ark and Nemesis are on stasis on Earth, things on Cybertron take a turn for the worst. The Autobots grow desperate and begin acting more Decepticon-like in their efforts, growing more ruthless and forcing neutrals to fight for them. Many neutrals, like Perceptor and Blaster, rebel against this and form their own army, fighting against Autobot and Decepticon alike.
92. Optimus: *stares in shock at human scientist* "How did you prevent them from blowing anything up?"
Human Scientist: *smiles over at Perceptor and Wheeljack, who are tinkering with some device* "Those two act like overgrown children with a new toy to play with. With children, no matter their size or actual age, you need to lay down some ground rules. These rules can't be the same rules you assign adults; they have to be extremely clear and simple so they're not open for interpretation. You have to be firm and quick to reprimand, but also quick to praise." *looks up at Optimus* "And like children, they need supervision. You shouldn't let them lock themselves away in their labs. Basically, they need parents."
Optimus: *thinks* "Would you like a job?"
93. 2007. Perceptor crashes on Earth decades before Optimus and his crew arrive... and meets a young child named Albert Einstein.
94. What if the war on Cybertron had ended while the crews of the Ark and Nemesis had been in stasis on Earth? Those on Earth don't realize this, so when they awake and start fighting again... and when they try to contact Cybertron for reinforcements...
95. What if Perceptor was the younger brother of the Twins? Or, if not their brother, what if he had been raised by them?
96. Perceptor was supposedly killed after (or just before) the Ark and Nemesis left Cybertron (he wasn't part of that mission). But he was actually captured by a group of Decepticons and has known nothing but abuse for four million years.
97. On Cybertron, Scholarships pay for education, maybe for a dorm room as well. But not food or other things needed to survive. Not allowed to get a job as he's still a student - the faculty doesn't like students splitting their attention - and since his creators honestly couldn't care less about him, Perceptor turns to prostitution to survive.
98. Perceptor used to like to talk... until he was taught that keeping silent means he won't be hurt.
99. Members of a Gestalt can take on each other's pain if they choose to.
100. Perceptor can withstand torture better than people thought. Longer too.

Long Freakin' Ramble Where I Comment On... Most Of Them
*clears throat* Now, let's begin, shall we?
*goggles at one and two* Ohhh, but please tell me somebody will write these. I doubt I can myself, but both would make absolutely awesome stories. Stories with actual, non-pairing centric plots, even!
*considers seven* *shoves into her Perce/Hook pile for later consideration*
Nine would be entertaining also, at that. There's so many different possibilities...
As for ten, is it wrong that my mind automatically jumps to the Aerials?
*cackles, grabs thirteen, and begins to threaten anyone who comes near her* *places bunny in the special hutch for her everyone-finds-out-about-the-tank-mode* I swear, I'm gonna get it written one of these days. *considers* Actually, it just sprung, rather violently back to life... So it might be sooner rather than later.
*smirks at fourteen and orders it to join seven*
On twenty-three: This is very, very bad. Be prepared, everything is about to go to the Pit.
*huggles twenty-nine* *stares at thirty* Ya know, if I hadn't already said that he'd screamed... hmmm... but that didn't mean he had literally screamed, could have meant that he'd just made a really loud noise. Yeah, I think this one fits in quite nicely with my version of Perceptor.
*cackles madly at thirty-two* This one actually made me lol - a rare experience, and testament to the randomness of this bunny. You deserve cookies, but I have none, so you get muffins instead. Thank you for that, really.

Add another twenty and we're at seventy-two: Poor, poor Perce. You just know that that's going to do some damage to his psyche.
To seventy-four: Unless this was written before my fic with Optimus and the Dinobots, it's kinda creepy how similarly our minds work.
Seventy-seven, you just know that Ratchet's actually needed, too. Because they might actually destroy the earth on accident if left alone. Starscream: "Ahh... sorry, Megatron. We can't take over the Earth, the Autobot's scientist destroyed it for us. On accident, of course." Megatron: "And that, Starscream, is why I refused them both entrance to the Decepticon army."
Eighty-four just makes me think of the Decepticons. Like, some of them are still trying to get him on their side. However, it also makes me think of a viciously overprotective Sunstreaker. Eighty-five, however, seems to fit perfectly with Jazz. Seriously!
*giggles at eighty-seven* You do realize that, honestly, I'm not sure there's any way to make that better, right? It's brilliant as is. Same goes for ninety-two. There's some things that just can't be made more amusing.

Alhtough Perceptor is one of my least favourite Transformers, your story bunnies with him sound highly pleasing.

10. I don't really know why everyone's thinking of the Aerials - only Fireflight might come close to the prompt. *shrugs* I guess it's just the word 'air' in there.
16. That sounds really cool as well, actually. The only reason we thought of Pern was the word 'Between'. That's actually the name of the place that dragon's go to when teleporting in the series. Just an odd little thing that popped up.
17. It is a really good idea, but I'm not sure it would work. Unless it's in An Cailin Rua's Tricolora verse, or something of the type.

I highly doubt that Ratchet's response on thirty-three would be good - who really wants to know that one of their close friend's true personality has been repressed and the person they've known is just a lie? I actually have a similar theory with Prowl and Jazz - what if Prowl's battle computer was a seperate personality, and controlled Prowl's (*coughbarricadecough*) body while repressing the true personality? And, because I just can't make myself see them with anyone else, Jazz has to learn to deal with this?
*snarks at fourty-two* Now that you say that, I considered the fact that you probably meant he'd manipulated Perce into a relationship with himself - I'd thought that he set him up with someone else. Haven't got a clue why...
For fifty-two: *joins happy dance* *looks rather like a fish floping around after being hooked*
And moving on, no, we don't hate Perceptor. It's actually a very common sign of love in the fanfiction community - torturing your favorite characters. *coughs* Right. It's like digging holes in the hot desert sun, builds character!
*shrugs* I haven't got a clue if seventy-four was written before or after my ficlet. It doesn't really matter, and I don't intend to waste time trying to figure it out...
And finally: Starscream: "But why'd we take Shockwave, then?" Megatron: "Shockwave's twisted, but not dangerous unless provoked. Those two - I swear they don't even realize exactly how dangerous it is to be around them." Starscream: "Ah well, doesn't matter now. They beat the Autobots for us - can we just go home now?"

I highly doubt that Ratchet's response on thirty-three would be good - who really wants to know that one of their close friend's true personality has been repressed and the person they've known is just a lie? I actually have a similar theory with Prowl and Jazz - what if Prowl's battle computer was a seperate personality, and controlled Prowl's (*coughbarricadecough*) body while repressing the true personality? And, because I just can't make myself see them with anyone else, Jazz has to learn to deal with this?
Yeah, Ratchet would go on the warpath. Though I wonder if he'd try to undo what was done to Perceptor, or decide to keep the friend he knows. And I do believe there is a bunny where Prowl's battle computer was a different personality. I can't remember if it was one of mine or someone else's.

In my mind, Armada Red Alert is not related at all to G1-Red Alert. I think his Japanese name was Ratchet, but I've also heard it was First Aid. I still like the idea of Red Alert having medical knowledge though.

As for riders...Good question. If it was the Autobots... Elita-1 would be riding Megatron. And Optimus would be riding Starscream. But what about Skywarp and Thundercracker? ...Probably Red Alert and Inferno. Or Prowl and Jazz. Ohhh, Soundwave could be a junior queen, with Shockwave being her mate - and their riders could be Ironhide and Chromia!

Thus, Megatron's rider would be Optimus a la 2007-movie (hopefully without the crashing-into-buildings part). Skywarp's rider would be Sideswipe (they'd fly around getting into trouble) and Thundercracker's rider would be Sunstreaker (they'd fly around getting dragged along with whatever trouble Skywarp and Sideswipe are in). And what about those cute mini-dragon fire lizards? *cough*cassettes*cough*
As for joining the bunny farm, well, I don't know... the complimentary mind-reading skills are tempting (by the way, wouldn't the Deceptidragons all be telepathic too? As for Optimus 'riding' Megatron... I can handle that. I mean, we've already decided Megatron's female, why not Prime as well (since gold dragons are only riden by girls.) And the Twins! I totally didn't think about Jet Judo. Yay for trouble (and annoyance)!!!!

As for dolphins... I've really only read a few of the Pern books (the Harper Hall trilogy), so I have no idea what you're talking about there. Maybe 'Con cassettes = fire lizards and 'Bot cassettes = dolphins? And telepathy is amusing in this scenario no matter how extensive.
Do I need to get a LiveJournal to post here? (as in a normal post and not just comment replies) I've got a few baby bunnies hopping around... And by the way, do you have any idea where the term 'plot bunny' came from?

The dolphins are - well, dolphins. That are intelligent. And talk. They came with the humans to populate the world... But they can here telepathic conversations (or at least pick up on the emotions. I'm not really sure.). Oh, and some of the humans are capable of hearing all the dragons, not just their own.
And, yes, you need a lj to post (why do I always want to put 'an lj' when I know that's not correct?) Give into the urge! Give in! As for the term 'plot bunny'... Umm... Well, crap. No, I haven't a clue. We need a wiki focused on fanfiction to tell us these types of things, don't we?
