One Bunny and a Pre-Bunny

Both are spoilerish for ROTF. Sorta.


I can’t remember the exact quote, but Simmons makes the comment: “…and you have one in your purse like a little chihuahua.” (In reference to when Mickaela brought Wheelie into Simmons’ secret basement hideout.) So, here’s the bunny:

1. The standard technology (phones, cars, internet, etc) wasn’t the only thing humans created and improved from studying Megatron. Sector 7 scientists discovered his spark and linked its energy to the radiation coming off of the cube. They performed tests and managed to animate the first earth-born transformer (much like the nokia-bots). Instead of limiting it to activating and deactivating small machine to study the cube power, the scientists also used it to develop P.E.T.S. (Programmable Electronic Transforming Servicers) In Sam and Mickaela’s life, P.E.T.S are common place. There are Medicbots, Communicationbots, Soldierbots, Servicebots, Vehiclebots, Companionbots, etc. The general public believes that P.E.T.S. are non-sentient and just simple machines.

*The Autobots and Decepticons head for earth looking for the cube just like in the ’07 movie. They don’t realize that most of the man-made machines are in fact just like them because the way they were programmed blocks their spark signature. Sam and Mickaela have no knowledge about it either. The Autobots learn of the P.E.T.S. in the Mission City cleanup. It turns out P.E.T.S. are all sparklings.

*The Transformers aren’t from Cybertron and the two opposing factions don’t exist. They’re all P.E.T.S. who perform duties similar to their canon counterparts (Ratchet = Medicbot, etc). One of them (maybe Bumblebee) slowly begins to free them self from the programming and their owner/operator, upon realizing that the P.E.T.S are sentient, agrees to help free the others.

*The second scenario, except that the ‘awakened’ Transformer (an Autobot) discovers that they’re not the only one who’s overcome the P.E.T.S. programming. However, the others feel no love for the humans that controlled them and are looking for revenge (Decepticons). The lone Transformer and their owner/operator set out to awaken other P.E.T.S. that might be willing to fight to protect the humans (Autobots).

*Either of the first two scenarios, except that none of the Transformers take kindly to their own kind being treated as slaves and wage war against the humans. The humans then become servants to them instead.


This one isn’t really a bunny, but more of a pre-bunny.

2. Why didn’t Sam tell Optimus that he had a sliver of the Allspark and it was hidden with Mickaela? Does Mickaela still have the sliver with her? If not, then where is it now?

Feel free to add to, subtract from, or otherwise mutate any of these.

So, humans are basically like the quintessons? Or is this more of an Asimov meets the Transformers?

Eh, I wasn't really thinking about the quintessons whien I came up with this...but I suppose that'll work. I'm horribly uninformed when it comes to the TF universe.... The most exposure I've had is the 07' and the '09 movie. ^^;

It can also be linked to Asimov's I, Robot, though that's also not what I was thinking about at the time.

Sorry, those were just the first things that came to my mind when reading this. I can see having something like the three rules to govern the P.E.T.S. and the 'Cons figuring out how to get around them. *shrug*

Hehe. Maybe I have watched too much scifi lately.

At least your first thought on seeing the acronym of P.E.T.S. was not to another robot fandom and wondering how a Megaman.exe and Transformers crossover would work.

LOL. Perhaps it is a good thing I have only heard of Megaman and have no idea what it is about.

In one universe of Megaman the robots or reploids as they are called, are like computer programs that are personalized for people and are like sophisticated Tamagotchis or giga pets, that also do things like fight computer viruses and are used to participate in mock battles with one another for entertainment. And the device that humans use to carry these programs on are called PETS. So hence my LOL reaction when I skimmed this post.

I didn't even think about Megaman! I've only ever played one game on the gameboy advanced. Now I'm going to picture Bumblebee and Sam fighting off annoying computer viruses. (Depcepticon?!)

I seem to be in love with many robot fandoms so my brain just jumbles it all together. That and another Megaman universe the Megaman Starforce one had the whole aliens are actually electromagnetic waves and use earth technology and a human with the right frequency to merge to make Rockman, Roll, etc.


Bumbleebee would make an adorable Net Navi and Sam would be dorktastic as a net battler. Deceptiviruses...hrmmm well in the anime version of exe there were a few Net Navis that didn't have human partners and ran around doing all sorts of mayhem as well.
