A desperate attempt...

...to stop the plot bunnies noming my head. I love watching this community for ideas but unfortunately the one time I don't need them (working on two epic-sized pieces already) I get slammed by so mnay of the stupid things. All of these could be done in any 'verse but they fit better into G1-G2. Please enjoy the plot bunnies of a newb.
 

1. In a bid to punish humanity for it's continued aid to the Autobot cause, Megatron/Galvatron orders that one of the holiest sites on Earth be destroyed; Mecca.

2.  A religious leader and Optimus Prime talk. No bickering, no accusations. Just talk and share their perspectives with each other in a quiet moment.

3. “The Matrix? A beautiful notion but in the end, a useless bit of propaganda to hide the greatest abomination in this galaxy and you still worship it. Disgusting.”

4. When the Decepticons won Earth they killed every single human despite the near-mythic actions of Gold Bug who fell in the last battle, his body lost. Vorns later, the genocide hasn't left the Autobots touched by human culture but then rumors begin to emerge of a fleet of mysterious ships bearing both Earth and Transformer technology hiding in a nebula. The race is on to find not only the remnants of Earth's children, but perhaps a not so fallen comrade. The question that arises however; do the survivors want to be discovered?

5. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker meet up with some skydivers. Enter culture shock upon learning that humans without the aid of thrusters or a jet pack willingly throw themselves into the air thousands of feet off the ground and love it. Now comes the predictable response; can humans or Jet-Judo Masters do it better?

6. “No. I don't think it would be a good idea to talk to them as they have sharp dental plating. But if you really want to try then go ahead by all means. I'll just sit back here with the med kit.”

7. The thrum-throb of the drums filled the air and the fire crackled as a backdrop while the dancers pounded the dirt. “Get down on our level and see.” They were told. So Hound did despite the looks he got from the others when he lay down to watch. He wasn't disappointed.

8. Optimus realizes that age does not necessarily mean wisdom when he attends a powwow and sees a great storyteller.

i was very surprised to see you mention Mecca- most people think of, say, Jerusalem for a holy site. That would be interesting, although considering the amount of atheists and Christians in the world, might not be the most practical. Especially considering Islam's bad rep these days...:(

If one were to be in Megatron/Galvatron's place; Mecca makes sense. Thousands of people in one spot with the sole purpose to worship a place that can be physically destroyed. While the bad guys are incredibly fun to write I find it hard to keep them in character because what they do is so wrong. That's what makes them bad in the end so I guess this plot bunny came from the idea of 'how bad is bad'? Killing innocent pilgrims would suffice I think as it would shock all walks of life.

I reckon that if ol'Megs wanted to do serious damage, he'd hit several places: Mecca, Jerusalem, and Varanasi. Mecca and Jerusalem are obvious, and Varanasi in India is one of the most sacred cities in India-- and has a large population to boot.

Bunnies #7 and #8 sound really interesting! #4 is an awesome idea-- I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic survival fics; too bad all my Transformers knowledge comes from the movies and hanging around fanfics and the TF Wiki.
