Cybertronian Views of Humans

I have frequently seen fics where the Autobot's treatment of humans is a kind of unintentional parental patronizing. Well maybe there is a simple reason for that: humans are the same average size as sparklings, so a good deal of Cybertronians can't help but consider humans as just that. Okay, so maybe very articulate sparklings, but sparklings all the same.

So how do their human friend react when they realize this is the reason behind the way the Autobots act towards them?

Could be any 'verse, really.

Why do I keep getting these weird Nightbird related bunnies from this?

Also, the mental image of someone like Sunstreaker getting all cooey over a human just amuses me too much. Though I keep seeing it less like "aw, it's a baby!" and more like "what a cute purse/dog"...

I get an image of Sunstreaker akin to that of my brother with pets - he acts like he doesn't like them but when he's alone, is rather caring. I Sunny's case, he acts all annoyed by humans but when it comes down to it, in a dangerous situation he'll risk himself even more to keep them safe.
