I was re-watching 'Five Faces of Darkness,' the scene where the Quintessons show up on Charr and try to con the 'Cons into taking out the Autobots for them. Blitzwing says that they seem familiar, and he doesn't trust them, but he can't quite remember why. Is Blitzwing really old enough that he worked for the Quintessons? Alternately, is it some kind of race memory, handed down through generations of his family? Did he see a picture in a story book back when? And if he did work for the Quintessons back when they held Cybertron, does he not remember now because it was so long ago, or were his memories tampered with?

That's a really intriguing set of questions...

Yeah, I wondered the same thing too. There's no way Blitzwing's that old. IIRC even Kup's not old enough to remember the Quintessons. I think the race memory thing makes the most sense, but I really think it's just a plot hole.

Maybe not, but I have seen a story on FFnet where the author did imply that the Triple Changers were among the first few generations of Transformers. Interesting to speculate about, even if there is no proof.
