Some quotes (italicized), dialog snippets and other stuff, - maybe someone will find them useful and be willing to adopt ^-^ Especially Optimus/Megatron seem to be pit-bent of gnawing away at my fangirl brain... °-°

I think... for me, that  must be enough." - This little bit came to me while dreaming °-° The first part ended happy, the other with Prowl in pieces...  The former: Jazz realized what Prowls emotions for him meant, where he himself stood in all of this, that he actually returned his feelings... Something like that, - it's all so blurry after waking up *sniff*

15. ?: "Don't do it ouf of -"
       ?: "I see nothing to pity."

16. He would find out...  And he would believe the best about (insert character name) until he could believe no longer. It was the only way he knew.

17. (This one is really not shaped up to be a decent piece of writing, even for a bunny. Sorry!)

      Optimus: "Why did you stop?'!"
    Megatron: "Because you asked me to." (wryly)
     Optimus: "... don't stop." He wanted to add 'brother', but stopped himself just in time, - he didn't want to be reminded of the bond they shared, not knowing what it would mean. "Megatron."

    It felt... The bond they shared would always be different, unmatched, vibrant in comparison to a bond with someone else, one which Optimus, maybe, now never could hope to form, - not that he wanted to.

18. Optimus: "You-!"
       Megatron: "Hush."
       Optimus: "But you-!"
       Megatron: "Hush. If we talk now, we'll only tear each other apart with words we don't mean.... So, hush." - Megatron did something heroic but foolish, sending the Lord High Protector straight to med-bay.

Particularly movieverse Optimus and Megatron.

I've seen it said that movie Optimus is the most violent Optimus Prime ever - almost Decepticon in his violence. Maybe Optimus can see Megatron's violence as a reflection of his own and fears he is too much like his "brother".

For some reason I came up with the thought that this is a "Starscream gets helped by an Autobot" story. Maybe a badly injured Starscream gets found by Ratchet, who fixes him. Somewhere in it that trade happens, with the first speaker Starscream, and the second Ratchet.

2. Yes, I actually thought of Bayverse, too. First off, I really like that Lord High Protector/Prime idea for the background. And they actually call themselves "brothers" - how insane/great is that?! LOL And yes, Optimus is quite violent in the movie - he always goes for the faces of his foes, doesn't he? It is quite creepy, in a way. And he... sort of DID doom mankind, bringing the war to the planet... I can easily picture him doubting himself, his motives, their similarities...

15. Yes, that would work. I think there are some ffs already where Ratchet helps Starscream...? But I could also think about that dialog happening after a battle, when one mech has lost/is down... Huh, weird how that happens, but now my bunny morphes into a "mercy kill" scenario... °-°

I won't say too much, just in case, but he's also very violent in DotM too, and I read a review specifically about how he is in DotM that cited his violent actions and saying that he is very un-Optimus-like.

I don't mind spoilers at all, - till the DotM DVD is out in Germany, I have them surpressed LOL (I mean - getting told about it is still different from seeing it for yourself, so I generally don't mind spoilers, it doesn't sour the experience for me).

I wondered about that - what did happen differently in Bayverse in comparison to G1 that he has changed so much? Never took him for the violent type before seeing RotF...

I think people are holding onto too much of kid's cartoon morals. A real soldier in a real war as bad as one could imagine the Cybertronian war would have to get really violent just to stay alive, and I can see how Optimus could have just been at the end of his rope by the time he [BIG SPOILER!} kills Sentinel and Megatron.

As for the Fallen, he would have had to take him down hard or the Fallen would have tried again with the Sun Harvester, or something just as destructive to Earth.

All true. I meant more the violent method of going after everyones faces than going after their lifes in the fastes/surest way possible.

Yes, I think that G1 is still very much an influence on how you view Optimus and the others. But of course, in a real war, there's no way to always retreat, or always win, or to sit down and talk about a peaceful solution. And it is true that Optimus is, outside of a fight, where he must act quick, kinda mild mannered/spoken.

Are there not rumors already that there will be a fouth TF movie? I don't want any other villain than Megatron, backed up/"traitored" by Starscream °-°

Well I did see a post that said that the producers are willing to make another, or three, with a different director.
