G1 Red Alert is terrified of medics

Medics, or even plain ol' non-combat doctors, must be terrifying to someone with trust issues like Red Alert. Some stranger who's paid gobs of money to fix you could easily tweak just the wrong circuit, give you just the wrong medication antivirus, extend your misery for eons just to leech money out of you and your family. Corrupt doctors are one of my worst fears in real life, so I imagine for Red Alert, even seeing the medical colors would be panic-attack inducing.


I've always seen it hinted at in some fics, and a few fanfics have him go into hysterics around therapists, but I've never seen Red Alert go into outright panic over medics.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen it either. Ok, I hinted at it in my fanfic. but that's it. Just a hint.

I can't help but think that maybe one of the very few medic he does trust is Ratchet. I also think part of that trust is because of Ratchet's grumbling because if ratchet doesn't want to be working on him (again!) it means he's not trying to cheat Red (and will repair him properly in hopes of keeping him away from medbay).

Also, Inferno knows some basic medicine, because Red needs someone he trusts to give him immediate treatment just in case a trusted medic is unavailable.
