Some of you might have read my oneshot Inevitable a few weeks ago. I would suggest reading the story, before reading the bunny, if one wants to be surprised, as the Oneshot IS the bunny. ;)

This bunny plays mainly in the Bayverse, but can happen in most other verses as well.

The idea was, that there is a core programming in every Transformer which is an integral part of their personality. And which they can't ignore. Part of this core programming was, to guarantee a stable society, to obey the Prime, or in the case of the military inclined mechs to obey the Lord Protector.

A war forced the Cybertronians to make nearly all newsparks into military inclined mechs, aka soldiers, and to sent them off-world to fight against an alien race. They won, but when they came back, the population spike (and the unproductivity of the soldiers, because really they weren't factory mechs) led to a famine.

Prime didn't to anything. His core programming was to protect the peace of the society as a whole. Megatron, though, as the Lord Protector had as his highest commands to obey the Prime and to protect society, to protect the population. Said population was starving and dying and Megatron literally couldn't watch. He had to protect them - and he chose to defy Optimus Prime.

The consequence of ignoring such an integral part of ones own programming was madness. So Megatron went mad.

But - all the military mech followed him, because they hated the mechs that led them starve and because of their own programming. The same was true for Optimus Prime.

The civil war started. But a Prime wasn't made for fighting. A Prime is made to keep his population happy and peaceful. Being forced to fight meant - ignoring his own core programming. Optimus managed to stave of madness, until coming to Earth. There he met his breaking point and his core programming "adopted" humanity - abandoning the Cybertronians.

The comments to Inevitable made me realise, that this bunny has a lot more potential than just this one Oneshot. What about all the other Cybertronians in the war? Did they go mad, too? Can they be saved? Is there hope after Inevitable or only madness and destruction?

Ratchet: Might have gone made, between the orders to obey Prime and to heal - and the reality of being forced to fight, of war. I eman, throwing wrenches isn't a good sign in a medic which core programming is "healing".

Wheeljack: Maybe he was something else than an engineer and his explosions are a sign of suicidal thoughts?

Soundwave: Maybe he went quietly mad, because he felt all the madness around him  -and erased all of is core programming but the need to obey Megatron?

Starscream: Well, I touched upon his case in the oneshot, between the orders to protect the skies and Cybertron - and to obey Megatron who became a danger to said skies and Cybertron.

And so on. Sadly, at the moment I really don't have the time (or the ideas) to write more about it.

I would love to read other ideas, how they might have all been forced to go against their own core programming with various outcomes. No holds barred. If someone has an idea about Prowl and Jazz, or Megatron or Optimus, I would love to read it as well. :)

>.> much as I fear to pimp my own work out I want to give you this link http://xobit-prime.livejournal.com/51546.html

It sort of partakes in your bunny, it features both Megatron and Optimus Prime.

^^; lol well I liked your fic too. A lot... I am just bad at reviews X.x so sorry for the short short review T.T

Thank you very much, and I want to say don't worry about it but you already left an awesome review and all ^^;

Normally I don't like to mess with the TF humans, but I felt the story needed an outside view and who else to turn to but a human who had worked closely with the Cybertronians?

I hope the lecture was an interesting one ;)

I try to review things I am given links to, its worse with the things I fall over myself. Mostly it is that I have to think about something before reviewing, meaning I often forget where I found it when I reach a point where I feel I can leave something I can justify as a review >.<

D: I would love to be able to write something long and nice just once in a while. Maybe we should switch brains for a few hours every day?

The humans are there to give kids something to relate to >.> I get that, I really do, but sometimes I wish they would make an animated verse for 'us adults' *makes a grimaces* where we could be without the overly exaggerated dream stand ins that the canon humans are./rants ^^;

There is that X.x lectures are lectures after all, though I do not get why education can't also be entertainment. ;)

Uh no its not that I think about the review, its that I think about the story or image I am reviewing... ugh, sorta mentally digesting it? XD and by the time I am done I've been off doing other stuff and can't remember what I where I was reading the story in question. This has made me a lazy person when it comes to reviewing X.x

lol! I have muses and bunnies aplenty myself, but if you adopt some of mine I can take yours off your hand for a few hours I suppose ;)

yeah >.> dead bunnies are the worst thing, but usually they don't happen because of a lack of ideas.

I know, >.> most kids I know find the kids about as annoying as the average adults.

lol I had a professor who kept referring to himself in third person XD gods he was funny!
