The Decepticons and Autobots are having a lot of cross-faction bondings and relationships. But they're all keeping it a secret from everyone else.

So on the battlefield, an Autobot gets shot and/or put in a really bad position. A Decepticon (I'm seeing Skywarp, but *shrug*) lands and says 'no, not this one, I'll shoot you first.' Well, that attracts some attention. Autobot is 'I thought we were keeping this a secret.' Decepticon: 'I'm busy saving your life, sweetspark.'

Then someone else, Autobot/Decepticon, says 'if they're allowed to be together, then so are we!' And that sparks off the whole big reveal.

Short version: War is called on account of everyone getting ticked that someone on their side shot their partner.

Soundwave knows about everything and everyone. Red Alert, too. Soundwave also has had a long-time crush on the Autobot black and white officers, too. Who have been eyeing him right back.

I like the idea of this, sounds like my kind of story! And as I am getting over a long spell of writer's block, I need to get back to my writing.

Starting to get the pairings going, am going with your idea , with Prowl/Soundwave. Sorted partners for Megatron, Skywarp, and Starscream already. Two are obvious, the third, not so. Having problems with some of the characters as I'm less well versed in G1 vs Movieverse, but I am looking forwards to writing this! And am leaving out the femmes, this will be more fun without them. And I already have plenty of Autobots, but not so many useable Decepticons. Though I could have the Rainmakers and Shockwaves coming to earth if I have to.

Am also thinking if doing a Movieverse version of this, if that is okay?
