tf_bunny_farmHello everyone. This is my first time posting here and I'm really happy to have found this community where I can dump all those little bunnies I have hopping in my head. All are G1 based unless stated otherwise. I hope the LJ cut works.
1) After Raoul is kicked out of his appartment, Tracks convinces Prime to let him stay at the Ark for a while. Raoul ends up sharing Spike's room, and the two have, let's say, conflicting personalities. Okay, they can't stand each other.
2) Sparkplug learns he has cancer. After some research, Ratchet suspects that because Sparkplug spends so much time inside the Autobots' bodies reparing them, the radiation from their sparks may be the cause of his cancer. Prime decides to ban the humans from the medbay for their own good.
3) Hound joins a protest against animal cruelty.
Hound: *Holds sign*
Random autobot: "B.E.T.A. ?"
Hound: "Bots for the Ethical Treatments of Animals. Wanna join?"
3b) Spike: "I'll never be able to eat a hamburger in front of Hound again!"
4) Sideswipe steals Spike's journal. Spike plots revenge.
5) An Autobot is the witness of a crime and is summonded to testify in court. The defense attorney argues that his testimony is not valid, "machines cannot testifiy in the eyes of the law, only humans can." The Autobots wonder about their legal status in the United States.
6) Continuation of 5. After a long legal battle, certain Autobots who requested it earn citizenship and the right to vote in the next election. This of course means visits from candidates trying to secure their votes.
7) Wheeljack builds another Dinobot, a smarter, less violent one this time. But this Dinobot is a femme! The Autobots are sure the dinos will fight each other for her attention and affection. Strangely, the opposite happens: the Dinobots reject her, saying she is too weak and frail to join their group. After that, I have two ideas:
a) The dino-femme, possessing a very stubborn streak and a huge crush on one of the dinos, will do anything to prove herself in battle and gets into a load of trouble.
b) The dino-femme is sent to train on Cybertron with Elita-1 and her group, to boost her fighting skills and her self-confidence.
8) Sideswipe (or Sunstreaker) is asked by the FBI to go undercover as the brand new Lamborgini of a powerful crime boss to gather evidence against him.
9) An Autobot (I'm thinking Bumblebee but anyone would work) finds in Teletran-1's archives instructions to turn energon into something resembling some human foods. But the instructions are incomplete. The Autobot proceed to try to recreate the recipes and asks his comrades to taste his creations. Sensitive fuel tanks beware!
10) Sideswipe starts his own radio show by hijacking the ark's com system.
11) Sideswipe gets interested in human martial arts.
12) What if, after the war, Optimus decided to simply retire? He leaves the Matrix to Rodimus and asks to be reformated back into Orion Pax, with a simple pick-up truck alt form, to go live a peaceful life on Earth. And would Elita-1 follow him?
13) Starscream: "How is Megatron better than me?"
Random Con : "He doesn't need to go throught doors sideways!"
Inspired by the mental image of seeker wings being too wide to fit through certain doors.
14) The Autobots are invited by a local native-american tribe to a pow-wow.
15) I've looked backed a few months into the archives of this site but I don't think I've seen this one before: What if Starscream was the one that crashed in the arctic, not Skyfire.
Crossover bunnies
16) Stargate SG1 : What if there was a stargate on Cybertron? And it was right in the middle of Decepticon territory? A strike team of Autobots and SG-1 are sent to Cybertron to move the gate to safety before the Decepticons learn of it's purpose.
17) The Iron Giant: the Autobots are contacted by a man named Hogart Hughes. He claims that he has met during his youth a giant robot from space who crashlanded near his hometown. The Autobots set out to find this robot, who may be a lost cybertronian and comrade. But could the Iron Giant, capable of transforming into a powerful weapon of destruction, actually be a Decepticon?
18) Bleach: slightly crack-y. Wheeljack couldn't possibly have caused all these explosions all by himself. Truth is, his lab is actually haunted! Seems a Hollow has wandered into the Ark and is now wrecking havok, without any Autobot being able to see him.
19) Hellboy/Movieverse: After Sector 7 is disbanded, the Autobots' case is handed over to the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. How will Simmons handle working for the "Freakshow Department" and it's unique employees? Bonus points if Ironhide and Hellboy talk artillery together, showing off their favorite weapons.
20) Cowboy Bebop: Spike Spiegel is a decendant of Spike Witwicky, and his Swordfish spaceship is actually an Autobot sent to protect him and a secret weapon passed down in his family.
21) Wall-E: Wall-E and Eve uncover what's lefts of the Decepticon's space bridge and activate it by mistake. They end up in G1 times in the middle of a battle and are separated, Eve captured by Soundwave's cassettes, Wall-E stowing away in Prime's trailer. The Decepticons send a reprogrammed Eve to assasinate Prime.

22) The twins have watched 300. They noticed Ironhide's helmet kinda looks like a spartan's helmet. So the stick a brush on his head, put a cape on him and paint "THIS IS SPARTA!!" on his windshield.
Ironhide: "Prime..."
Prime: "Yes, 300 is now on the banned list."
Twins: "All hail King Iron-idas!"
23) Avatar: the last airbender crossover. Autobots with beast modes based on the weird hybrids creatures of Avatar. Optimus Prime as a Sky bison (with an extra pair of arms!)
24) An angry Optimus is looking at the camera, arms crossed over his chest, growling "...Sideswipe...". He has a big Joker-like smile painted on his battlemask.
25) Inspired by the famous Uncle Sam "I want YOU!" poster. A picture of Ratchet, pointing at the camera in the Uncle Sam pose. Under him are the words "I want YOU out of my medbay!"

*LOVES* I've seen a fic where SG-1 ends up in Decepticon territory; but the Decepticons hadn't even known what the Stargate was. I'd love to see a crossover where the Autobots actually know about the Stargate. But why do the Autobots know, but not the Decepticons?

Actually, didja know Blurr's helmet design is based on a Spartan-like helmet? (Actually, I think his is technically based more on a Hoplite design, but they're very similar.)

Date: 2008-09-29 05:57 am (UTC)Maybe because Primes used to be the leaders of the whole of Cybertron, not just one faction, and the information was so top secret that only the Prime and his highest ranking command staff knew of it's existence (kinda like in movieverse, how it seems like Sector 7's existence is so top secret only the President knows they exist).
It got into Optimus's knowledge because he's the latest Prime, but no one except him and his command staff know about it - not even the 'Cons, even though they're practically sitting on top of it.

...Ooohh. *fascinated* And how ironic, that the source/indicator of life to Cybertronians is detrimental to humans. Makes me wonder if Autobots would have some sort of allergic reaction to babies or pregnant human women or something.

Hmmmm...this makes a lot of sense also. Optimus was a wartime leader - he might not handle governing a peaceful Cybertron as well as leading a military faction. As for Elita-1... for the sake of drama, I'd say she wouldn't follow him. She'd stay on Cybertron to make sure things kept running smoothly (and possibly to make sure the femme squad got their deserved credit for the work they did on Cybertron and ensure that femmes in general got equal rights under the new government). But Optimus would get lonely all alone on Earth without any Cybertronian company, right? And if the war ended with Megatron captured/surrendered instead of killed, the new Cybertronian government might need to exile him somewhere distant and have a strong, reliable, guaranteed-incorruptible Autobot to guard him, right?

Date: 2008-10-02 03:08 am (UTC)And re: citizenship - is Cybertron (even pre-war Cybertron) even a democracy/democratic republic? With the Matrix determining the Prime, etc., it seems almost like a theocracy. Of course, a theocracy would be pretty easy to set up when you're walking on your deity.
I wonder what would happen if the Dinos, Stunties, etc. did become citizens of the U.S. and discovered that they liked being able to vote and have a say in their governmental representatives. Wouldn't it be weird if that motley group of mechs created on Earth started a Cybertronian movement for a radical new government system?

I would think the Autobots would be more viewed as a foreign power allied to the USA and having some sort of treaty about having a base on US land. Depends on the 'verse though, G1 would be more inclined to an allied foreign power, while movieverse is more likely to go with citizenship.

Actually, I can see both happening - when the Dino-femme gets into too much trouble because she's trying to prove herself, she ends up being sent to Elita to be trained, and to learn the attitudes and culture of femmes as a whole.

This reminds me of RP - the game I've been in has an Optimus Prime who aspires to be a cook... but frequently fails. Last time he tried to make a cake but ended up making something that reacted like some sort of drug. The debate my Magnus-muse had with him over beards was... entertainingly silly.

I had a bunny akin to that once, though Optimus didn't get reformatted, but he did leave the Matrix behind and went off somewhere quiet to relax and recover (Magnus went with him).

I don't really know much of the story (I just read the plot summary on Wikipedia) but I get the impression that the Giant becomes a good guy. I do like the idea however that he's a Decepticon, but maybe he was newly sparked, or had his memory totally wiped some time before he came to Earth (and had a rather mild-mannered spark for a 'Con as well), so he may be a dangerous weapon, but he doesn't have the typical Decepticon outlook. It'd end up being a question of how well the Autobots take to him, and how well he can fit in with them and how he reacts to the Decepticons, especially after he finds out he was intended to be one of them.

This is similar in a way to a TFA story I'm working on with Ray the Grimlock Glomping Pachycephalosaurus. None of the Dinobots like her at all to start out with. She's not exactly smarter than them (she's actually less communicative than the rest of the Dinobots and only has a vocabulary of ten to twelve words). She's a lot smaller, more curious, and a heck of a lot more cheerful. Option A fits her better, as she is rather stubborn and has a really big crush on Grimlock (and is always following him around, much to his annoyance).
