For serious, though, they need to leave me the hell alone when I'm in the midst of writing other stories ¬_¬ (Although, two did come about because of something in one of my in-progress stories, so maybe it's not terrible...)
01. Seekers have three rules that they all follow: Loyalty first to family. Then to the trine. All trines are family. When Megatron goes a step too far in knocking Starscream back into his place after another takeover attempt, the two seeker trines decide it's past time to really live by their rules. And technically, the Aerialbots could count as a type of trine....
02. Seeker sparklings tend to be very small for a reason: rather than have their protoforms built separately and their developing spark placed into the protoform, their protoforms develop from superfluous metal found in their carrier (i.e. cosmetic touches like the control panel in a cockpit). The process tends to be painful for the spark carrier and whenever possible they go into stasis while the protoform shell is developing. However, it isn't always possible.
(Part of this was inspired by a picture I saw in one of the other TF comms, but it developed into the above in my head O.o My mind is effing scary.)
03. Starscream was not thrown out of the Scientific Academy after Skyfire's accident. Instead, the academy became incredibly protective of the returning explorer and released information that both explorers had been lost. When the war began to worsen and the Autobots took the Ark from Cybertron, Wheeljack suggested that they bring along a brilliant young xenobiologist in the event they encounter alien life.
Yes, the introduction of an Autobot!Starscream, whether he really wishes to be involved in the war or not ("Seriously, I only signed up for this to contact alien life!")

Date: 2008-10-30 12:38 pm (UTC)1. I have the image of a giant pile of fliers beating the slag out of Megatron, and then moving over to cuddle and fawn over a beaten-up!Starscream. And the image is made of such adorableness that I fear my brain may be developing cavities from it.
Oh man, that's an awesome mental image! Even more so if all this went down in the middle of a battle XD Cue very confused Autobots as to why the hell the Aerials are so pissed at Megatron as well.
Bumblebee: Dude, did I just see...?
Sideswipe: *staring*
Sunstreaker: *closes Sides' mouth* Yep. Seeker-and-Aerial-pile on Megatron.
Ironhide: *can't decide whether he should shoot or fall over laughing*
Ratchet: *opts for falling over laughing*
2. Aww, poor Seeker mama... Of course, I'm putting Starscream here, since I do so love to torture him (in love!),
I think a lot of us love to do that. I wouldn't doubt it if someone came up to me and said that Starscream, Perceptor, and about half a dozen Transformers are scared shitless of fans like us.
But maybe, due to the fact that all seekers have an inborn fear of developing progeny due to possible agony they would endure in doing so, they all avoid interfacing as much as they possibly can? So, even though there's rumors about
coughStarscreamcoughseekers being a bunch of sluts, they are, in reality, 'virgins'?Oooooh, that births a whole 'nother bunny right there! *traps bunny in a cage so it can't go about biting people for the moment* And maybe when seekers do wind up in that state, their trinemates and family groups go on a rampage to find out just who did it? (And yikes, I just tied this to the first bunny. Whoops XD)
3. JFJEOWAJFjfeoIJF I WANT. D:
*NOD NOD NOD NOD NOD* If I wasn't planning to devote all of November to "At Any Price," I'd be all over this one myself.
And I can totally see it happening in this scenario, too, because I've always pinned Starscream's hatred for the government and thus his corruption on the Science Academy kicking him out and refusing to find Skyfire. If they never kicked him out, he really never would have become a 'con, in my mind.
Yes. This. Very much agreement. And can you imagine how finding Skyfire would have gone differently? Would the Decepticons - if they still found him first - pass along the information that Starscream is dead in spite of him being an Autobot? How would Sky react when he finds out that's a lie and that his friend is alive and working with "the enemy"?

I think things would work out quite similar to canon with Skyfire - because nothing has changed in what happened before he got trapped, his attitude after being found would be the same as canon and it probably wouldn't take Star much to talk him over to the Autobots, especially if he got to see how brutal the Decepticons can be.

Date: 2008-10-30 04:03 pm (UTC)*LOVES* Omigoodness, I absolutely LOVE it! I really want to see TC and Skywarp getting protective of Screamer, cos I have a feeling that despite hoe mean they are to each other, somewhere in there they do care!

Date: 2008-10-30 04:37 pm (UTC)I agree completely. That's how I am with my younger sister and how she is with me: we can be complete and utter bitches to one another all we want, even to the point of smacking one another around, but if anyone else tries it that person better start running. I have no doubts that TC and Warp would do likewise times twenty.

Date: 2008-10-30 09:46 pm (UTC)That's how my siblings and I are too! Of course, there's 6 of us, so it's rare anyone tries to mess with any of my family members. My youngest sister, being the girly one, has a lot of ex-bfs who can't stand my older brothers...
I have no doubts that TC and Warp would do likewise times twenty.
That's always how I try to portray them (when I do portray them), so it's nice when someone agrees!

Date: 2008-10-30 04:55 pm (UTC)I am seeing the formation of third faction: the Seeker faction. Either that or the 'Con Seekers desert and go to the Autobots, but some of them I can't really see doing that without some good writing involved.

Date: 2008-10-30 05:55 pm (UTC)When you really think about it, if they live under the three rules then a faction of just seekers could wind up being pretty damned scary. Especially if they're all... very unhappy with Megatron and not inclined to find Autobot ideals much better than Decepticon ones.
As much as I enjoy seeing Autobot seekers, I have to agree with you. Some of them just don't seem like they'd just up and desert without something major going down.

Date: 2008-10-30 06:06 pm (UTC)Actually, that also bring up another thing, what if it isn't just the Seeker trines who desert? What if some of the other flyers go with them? Like Astrotrain, on the Autobot side Skyfire and Powerglide... though it depends there because 'Glide might have grudges that would make him less inclined to do so.
There are also more Seekers back on Cybertron that might consider joining if a campaign was made back home to recruit them, especially if it means truly living up to Seeker culture instead of suppressing it to fit into the Decepticons.

Date: 2008-10-31 06:01 am (UTC)Can you imagine, if the Seekers decided to live up to their true culture, how they would react if that was found out? How they would jump up to defend the lost trine that they suddenly see Prowl, Smokescreen and Bluestreak as?
no subject
Date: 2008-10-31 10:34 am (UTC)But yeah, I can see literally all the seekers jumping to defend the Datsun trine. Hell, I can almost see the seeker trines trying to draw them away from the Autobots, especially if they're under the impression (false or valid) that the Autobots have something to do with the fact that those three never received or lost their flying altforms.
