Delurking with 50 Bunnies
When I first discovered this community a few weeks ago, I started writing down the bunnies as they came to me. I quickly became worried at how fast they multiplied. So I'm handing some of them off to you guys :)
1. [2007] When Starscream said, "All Decepticons mobilize" in the film, he meant all Decepticons - not just the ones on Earth.
2. [2007] Crackish. Ever wonder at all the explosions in Transformers? It's because Michael Bay is Wheeljack's holoform.
3. The "bleeping" of certain words in TV, songs, etc. is actually a Cybertronian swear word.
4. [2007] One of the Lamborghini twins is the Cassetticon of the other. It was the only way to keep them both alive.
5. [2007] Megatron suffered processor damage after being entombed in ice for ten thousand years. After being reawakened, he's %^&*ing psycho. The Decepticons are even more worried than the Autobots at this point.
6. [2007] On the other hand, Megatron's processor damage left his memory banks empty. How will that change the war?
7. [TFA] Perceptor apparently sacrificed parts of his personality to expand on the amount of information he could hold. Unfortunately, the parts of his personality that no longer exist include his deep devotion to science.
8. [TFA] Based off of the above. Perceptor's sacrifice unknowingly spelt destruction for a few Autobots: with his personality component gone, Perceptor lacks empathy. He becomes a sociopath, with little morals or regard for others.
9. ?? "It's easier to watch someone die when you know they're dying because of you."
Ratchet: "That's what you think."
10. [2007] The Fallen grabs the Allspark when it lands on Earth.
11. [2007] Mikaela gets pregnant... with a sparkling.
a. It's Sam's - the Allspark messed with his reproductive system, resulting in technorganic offspring (when Sam mates with a human female).
12. [2007] Some of the new arrivals to Earth think Sam's "purchase" of Bumblebee is evidence of slavery.
13. [G1] Both of Prowl's creators were Decepticons. "I am the reason Megatron no longer allows relationships within his officers. Because any offspring are born intellectually and physically superior... but highly unstable."
a. One was Barricade.
b. One was Soundwave.
c. One was Starscream.
d. One was Shockwave.
e. Prowl killed the other one.
14. [2007] Why does everyone make the Cybertronians gain Earth culture? The Autobots bring their traditions to NEST.
15. [G1] Prowl is the high priest... of a cult. Other members include Shockwave, Soundwave, Mirage, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Dirge, Hook, Perceptor, and Ultra Magnus.
a. Sunstorm is a heretic/heathen/infidel. So is Tracks.
b. Sunstreaker struggles with his beliefs and isn't too good at whatever the cult wants to do.
c. They can be a "good" cult or a "bad" cult.
d. AU - obviously.
16. The Autobots become fascinated with sex. Organics think about it all the time. They are determined to understand the mysterious phenomenon their allies are so obsessed with.
17. On the other hand... the Decepticons are trying to figure out how to use this against the humans.
18. [2007] Femme!Mirage's creators wanted a mech — they meant a continuation of the family line and prestige among the nobility. Mirage wears a mech frame now out of two things: first, she doesn't know how to break the news to her comrades; and second, the Decepticons will most definitely take advantage of this fact.
a. Hound/Mirage
b. Hound doesn't know either, but he wants to bond with Mirage.
19. On the other hand... femmes account for only about ten percent of the population. Wouldn't it be seen as an honor for a femme offspring to be produced?
a. People view femmes as being inferior to mechs.
b. Femmes are viewed as being blessings.
20. Going off of the above bunny: the Transformers are matriarchal. Elita One is the real leader of the Autobots. The Decepticons fight for a patriarchal society, which is why there are barely any females among them.
21. ? "There are only two things in life you can count on: death, and taxes."
?? "You've obviously never met Prime."
22. The Autobots are introduced to the Darwin Awards...
23. Transformers can't read like we can. Normally, they plug a cord into a datapad and read that way. Actually sounding out letters and things — like on road signs, for example — is unheard of.
a. This kind of explains Skids&Mudflap... nah, they just suck.
24. [2007] Can't believe this hasn't come up yet. Hot Rod/Rodimus lands on Earth.
Human: "Prime has a kid?!"
25. Perceptor: *makes Decepticons go kablooey*
Autobots/Humans: *stares*
?: And he's the pacifist? [of the Wreckers]
26. [G1] One of the twins finds out his brother is a Decepticon spy.
a. He kills himself, which kills his twin by proxy.
b. He follows his brother to the Decepticons.
c. He follows his brother to the Decepticons as an Autobot spy.
d. He does nothing.
27. Those voices Thundercracker hears are dead people. They live outside of time, and thus can kinda tell him the future. However, they can also tell him things that already happened. None can tell the difference. Everyone else thinks he's insane.
28. [G1] Someone begins referring to the Lamborghini twins as the "Egg Twins" or "Eggs." Sunnyside up and all.
29. [2007] Borrowing IDW's Code of Interplanetary Conflict. The Autobots and humans are in deep trouble... because the reverse-engineering counts as sharing Cybertronian technology with other races.
30. [G1] Semi-crackish. Teletraan-1 is a Decepticon spy.
31. [2007] Cliffjumper and Miles are friends.
32. [2007] A Transformer whose alt-mode is one of those electric toothbrushes. Please.
33. [G1] Just possessing a power doesn't give you control over it. When the gifted Transformers (e.g. Mirage, Hound, Skywarp, etc.) were sparklings, they had no control over their gifts. They had to learn control.
34. [G1] The lower class of Cybertron is much more conservative in their attitude towards interfacing, believing that it should only be done with the mech they intend to bond with. The upper class indulges in it freely. Now, considering that a majority of each class makes up the Autobot and Decepticon armies respectively...
35. The Cybertronian equivalent of allergies.
36. A Transformer is allergic to humans.
a. An Autobot.
b. A Decepticon.
c. Primus/Cybertron.
37. Every time we go to sleep, we wake up in an alternate universe with a whole new set of memories. Except one mech wakes up without his memories edited.
38. [G1] Semi-crackish. Primus and Unicron are living beings. So are "Cybertron"'s moons. They're Primus' consorts. Until Unicron got jealous in 2005...
39. [G1] Prowl experiences optical illusions and crashes. Repeatedly.
40. Plagiarism on Cybertron. One mech copying another's code is like...?
41. [G1] Starscream could possess a mech when he was a ghost. What if he had that ability in life as well?
42. [2007] The women go for a girls' night out: Mikaela, Maggie, Sarah Lennox, and Judy Witwicky. Then they run into the newly-landed female Autobots.
43. [G1] AU. At the beginning of the war, Sunstreaker joined the Decepticons as an Autobot spy under the name Spinout. No one knows that Sideswipe is "Spinout"'s twin.
a. For that matter, not even Jazz knew.
b. Or Prime.
44. [G1] Can tie in with 43. Sunstreaker's violence comes from when he was a sparkling/youngling and had to protect Sideswipe. Sideswipe grows out of his dependency on his twin, but Sunstreaker will never stop being Sideswipe's guardian.
45. [2007] The Transformers are responsible for the "Mars Curse."
46. [2007] The Tunguska Event was a Transformer landing.
47. [2007] Planet X is Unicron.
48. [2007] The Nazca lines were created in response to Seekers meeting the primitive civilizations of Earth thousands of years ago. The natives welcomed the Seekers.
49. [2007] The Witwicky family alone is immune to the radiation of the Transformers, due to a genetic effect that finding Megatron created in Archibald Witwicky's genes.
50. [2007] Simmons seemed to know a lot about Mikaela, considering that Sector Seven hadn't anticipated finding her with Sam's family. How did he know so much?
a. Simmon's car was one of the ones Mikaela helped steal.

You have far too many interesting ones in this list. (Seriously, my list of to-do is long enough!)

Blah
(Anonymous) 2009-12-27 05:08 am (UTC)(link)*snicker* Well, at least there aren't any sparklings on Earth yet... On the other hand, I can see Ratchet, or some newly-landed Autobot, cuffing a human radio for foul language.
5. [2007] Megatron suffered processor damage after being entombed in ice for ten thousand years. After being reawakened, he's %^&*ing psycho. The Decepticons are even more worried than the Autobots at this point. '
...so, what does this mean for Skyfire, who's been frozen even longer...
28. [G1] Someone begins referring to the Lamborghini twins as the "Egg Twins" or "Eggs." Sunnyside up and all.
For some reason Sonic popped into my head with his "Egghead" nickname for Dr. Robotnic.
30. [G1] Semi-crackish. Teletraan-1 is a Decepticon spy.
*low whistle* The Autobots are fragged aren't they.
Re: Blah
28. Never actually seen Sonic, so...
30. *smirks* yes they are. And yet somehow the Decepticons are still losing.
no subject
24. Just haven't gotten that far is all.
26 is staring at me, but I'm unsure how to write that.
28. I kinda had that thought too. So, would that be Sidesidedown? *kinda puts twincest to mind*
29. You know, I never thought about it until now, but that could come across as like data-raping or something like that. *megatron* 'I feel violated!'
32. better than the one I thought of (that Robot Chicken did a few weeks after we said it)
33. got image of sparklings Raj and Warp using their powers to 'walk in on their parents'.
34. ...that would mean that the Decepticons are more reserved, and the Autobots are all sluts.
no subject
24. True. Not a lot of huge post-movie fics out there with Rodimus. I'm sorta thinking about one, but it's a crossover and I'm currently rewriting it for the *checks* fifth time.
26. Really? Which option?
29. Given how some fanon denies that rape can occur (depending on what kind of sex the TFs are having), processor rape is possibly the next worst thing. I feel like even the Autobots would be disgusted a bit by it.
32. I'm having difficulty imaging it as a good TF, though. You'd brushing your teeth and then WHAM! Your face would explode D:
33. I would HATE to be the parent of one of those unholy terrors.
34. Pretty much, yeah. Except possibly the Sunstreaker, maybe Starscream (since scientists are probably considered upper-class), um... who else is there that isn't really "in" the group? Soundwave? It's just that generally the situation is reversed, and I didn't like that assumption that the "good guys" are way more chaste and/or more monogamous than the "bad guys" who normally are more into... er... less child-friendly activities.
no subject
24. I meant I haven't gotten that far. I'm writing a post 07au that has Optimus's sons being Hot Rod and Hot Shot.
26. That's just it. I don't know which to do or how to portray the story. That one will probably go on the back burner until I figure out just what exactly the details of their story is.
29. ...and now I need to make mention of that in my g1/07 crossover.
32. Or another autobot prankster. Your teeth come out as purple.
33. Random thought: how about both?
Another random thought: they're not brothers, and they 'walk' in on their parents...
34. 'the Sunstreaker'? (watches ego inflate) :) And then there's Hound, who's from the lower class, and fanon always puts him with Mirage, who's from the upper class...
no subject
24. Hot Shot? You don't see a lot of him in the fandom. *is intrigued*
26. Ah, well. I'll be patient.
32. That's slightly more reassuring than my idea.
34. *jaw drops* Oh dear Primus. The bunny has mutated.
34. Ha. Oops. Didn't mean to put "the" in there. *is wondering at subconscious' attitude towards Sunny*
Hound and Mirage. Wow, for a long minute there I accidentally switched the two's positions in society. It made too much happy sense that way *sighs* I doubt Mirage's willingness to 'face with any pretty chassis would help convince Hound of his devotion. I'm also picturing a really possessive Hound here. Really, their attitudes would depend on who's chasing who. Even if Hound had initial attraction, I don't think he would act on it, giving Mirage's promiscuity. But if Mirage suddenly showed interest... he'd still wait. He's a one-mech 'bot.
no subject
32. :D
33. yeah, I can just see it. Mirage grabs warp and unintentionally makes both of them invisible, just as warp 'warps' them to the wrong spot, and the room they warp into has one of their creators 'with' one of the other's creators... Where does my mind come up with this stuff?
34. Haha, I figured it was a typo. I was just giving you a hard time because the opportunity presented itself. Don't worry, I do that to all my friends, but mostly my brother and husband. (and they do it back)
and those are some really good ideas about Hound and Mirage, and also that would give the situation a plausible story.
no subject
33. That's so funny! XD I'm hoping they're too young to really understand what's going on. Because then they ask their older friends what's happening... I'm picturing Starscream myself, getting all flustered about what the younglings saw. Who would a young Mirage be friends with? I saw a cute pic on deviantart where young!Mirage was with young!Moonracer (as siblings/friends).
Huh. I just remembered that in one of my semi-planned fics, Prowl was raised in Kaon. That's poor, right? (Course, so was Jazz in said fic...)
Primus! Red Alert would be too paranoid to share a berth with any 'bot. He'd be a good character to work with on this, too. (With Inferno :D )
no subject
33. Okay, now you've got me viewing Starscream as Skywarp's older brother.
If I remember correctly, Kaon is supposed to be 'the slums' of Cybertron. Another question you have to ask yourself: Jazz being Special Ops and from Kaon, do they ever 'interface' to obtain information? And if so: their personal and carreer perameters on the touchy subject.
no subject
33. Well, it would certainly explain that rivalry that the main trine shows so much. It's 'cause they're siblings.
Actually, Jazz is a youngling!thief in this, and Prowl's an enforcer newly transferred after the previous one tried to assassinate Sentinel Prime. I'm still trying to figure out whether I want this in G1 or the IDW comics; it'll affect how I change Jazz. It's about the equivalent of 1~2 years before the war begins, at any rate.
no subject
33. which actually makes a lot more sense than them being lovers in my opinion.

I do have a life outside of Transformers.33. Skywarp and Thundercracker being a couple is far more reasonable in my opinion.

Optimus: ...Why is he clinging to me and cooing? *looks at Sunstreaker and Sideswipe*
Sideswipe: Don't look at us! We haven't done that since the noodle incident.

Autobot: Sir, Megatron's, uh, throwing a temper tantrum
again. He's scaring the humans.Optimus: *marches over to Megatron* What have I told you about walking around human cities when you're feeling angry?
Megatron: *looks down at the ground guiltily* Not to.
Optimus: I want you to stay in your room until you feel you can control yourself.
Megatron: But–
Optimus: You're lucky I'm not bringing out Ratchet to deal with you.
Megatron: *looks up in sudden alarm and rushes back to his hangar*
Humans: *dumbfounded*
Ratchet: *sneezes and glares* Quit using me to threaten that overgrown sparkling, Prime!
I feel the twins would be a really bad influence on Megatron.

Number 43, entailing Sunstreaker being a Decepticon spy... The bunny is EATING my face. I may or may not be able to--- oh heck, there's no point in even trying to deny the fact that I really want to do this one. I'll adopt it. (picks up bunny and cuddles)

(Anonymous) 2011-02-20 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)41. Starscream could possess people when he was dead. Could he do that when he was alive?
That reminded me of astral projection. Simply put, if unknown, is that is the ability to freely move about without a body needed. In Elfquest, elves could do this when they were asleep. So, if that's a similar ability to SS's, could more be able to project?
Seriously Late Reply. . .
Did you mean, that, everytime the unedited mech goes to sleep, he wakes up in a different universe, and he has to deal with different friends / allies / enemies or different versions of them? Or, for once, his memory goes unedited and he's stuck in that particular universe? Or even something else?
