Two-For-One Bunnies

tf_bunny_farm...why, I ask, do they bother me when I have a billion sixteen other adopted bunnies already awaiting attention from me?
1. It seems that Starscream on occasion (such as when his subordinates are annoying him) retreats to his lab to work on various experiments, at which times he insists that his fellow Seekers leave him alone. Skywarp and the Coneheads, for some reason, think that this only applies to Thundercracker, the only one who ever complies with this 'rule.' This, of course, leads to the inevitable lab accident that reformats all the Seekers present into sparklings with no memory of their adult lives.
Megatron sees this as the perfect opportunity to rid himself of a long-standing problem, and commands Thundercracker to dispose of Starscream and set about indoctrinating the remaining sparklings into the Decepticon ideal of perfection: killing machines. This doesn't sit well with Thundercracker, who has long questioned why he remains. Rather than destroy an innocent sparkling, he flees with all five of them. A short while later, he arrives at the Ark, all faction insignias scratched from his wings as well as the sparklings' and asking for asylum.
One thing that seems developed in my mind for this one (aside from the fact that I don't have the time to work on it myself) is that Skyfire's insistence that Starscream had changed from when he knew him is confirmed when the sparkling Screamer shows absolutely no interest in anything to do with the war but is happy to spend hours on end in the lab watching Perceptor work on projects.
2. As another battle draws to a close, Megatron unexpectedly takes the opportunity to shoot Starscream in the back. He isn't entirely unnoticed in this, although the shot does cause critical damage to the Seeker. One of the Autobots closest to him (Ironhide or someone else) notes that rather than try a futile attempt to avoid the shot, Starscream exhibited behavior that he'd seen before in battles where a mech attempted to break a spark-connection to spare his bondmate from following him into death.
Knowing that this has rarely worked, he informs the others and they begin looking for an inexplicably offlined Decepticon. They are surprised when, instead of one of the other Seekers, they discover the distressed Cassetticons and an unconscious Soundwave. The Autobots wonder why Megatron would risk losing one of his most loyal followers... until the Decepticons contact them hoping to arrange for the return of Soundwave and the Cassettes.

TC going to the Autobots with a load of babies in tow (for some reason in my mind, this occurs in the rain.)
Oooh, I like that! I doubt there's any 'bot who could begrudge the request with poor TC trying to corral five sparklings (and you know Skywarp is a handful and a half).
Plus SoundwaveXStarscream is one of my most favourite pairings ever.

And Perceptor is one of the few that would just completely ignore the fact that this curious little youngling had tried to kill him multiple times.

Oh, man, I bet Thrust and Dirge are bickering, Ramjet is sleeping, Starscream is just quivering and looking cute. Skywarp is most definitely a little hellion!

Yes, me too. I dunno why, but the dynamic between them is just really hot. There isn't much for them around, though. Off the top of my head, I can think of two fics and three fanarts...

Date: 2008-10-05 09:33 am (UTC)And as for the second one, maybe after losing Starscream, Soundwave is not willing to go back to the Decepticons, because the only thing that had been keeping Megatron from killing Starscream was the bonding with Soundwave but he (Megs) just finally lost control and shot Star.
Oh, and for bonus drama, Starscream's immortal spark comes into play, and he's watching everything going on with Soundwave, trying to get up the power to make himself heard so someone will build him a new body.
