I know, I posted one monster of a bunny here, but I've recently had a couple, potential one-shot or off-shoot bunnies from it invade my head.

...oddly enough, when I was trying to write Wave/Screamer porn, but that's not important for the bunnies.

1. Most of the Autobots don't understand how Skyfire, who has been shot at least twice by Starscream, still considers the mech his friend. Skyfire, having seen how both Autobots and Decepticons are approaching the war, understands Starscream's reasons for having done so.

2. Mirage has been accused of being a Decepticon sympathizer a time or two. The fact of the matter is, he's spent so much time spying on the 'cons without them realizing his presence that he really has come to sympathize with them... and occasionally wonders if he made the right decision in joining the Autobots after watching how the 'cons are when they're amongst their own kind.

3. Ratchet/First Aid (choose your preferred medic) is captured by the Decepticons in battle and expects the worse; after all, he's heard all the rumours about his enemy. He's surprised to find, however, that the 'cons treat their prisoners as they would hope that their own soldiers would be treated by the Autobots, and also realizes that these soldiers are struggling simply to survive.

For this one, I somehow have the feeling that the captured medic would choose to remain either as a neutral guest or defect out of a sense of duty - after all, the Autobots are thriving and these mechs are dying by degrees.

4. One of the Decepticons is badly injured in battle and easily captured. Ratchet insists that the mech receive repairs, and is shocked during the exam when he discovers that the prisoner's spark bears the markings of having recently birthed a sparkling. Given the Autobots' views of Decepticons, they automatically assume the worse - that the mech was forced to bear the sparkling for some horrific purpose - and try to talk the prisoner into defecting. They are stunned when the Decepticon states that he'd rather die that betray his cause; secretly he has been in contact with his bondmate the entire time and is patiently awaiting rescue, although he is a bit terrified of what the 'bots may do to him in the meantime.

5. The Decepticons manage to get on good terms with a local military installation - not surprisingly, an air force base - and are able to obtain some small amounts of fuel when needed for the aerial builds. The Autobots discover this and try to "talk some sense" into the base commanders... and are summarily told to mind their own business. Bonus points if any of the 2007 canon military characters are stationed on the base and quite alright with the situation, no matter what universe the total story occurs in (G1, Animated, what-have-you).

I really think I may wind up playing about in this universe some myself, but I want to get a few more prompts cleared from my queue first. Damn the "dominant" prompt and damn Soundwave for not wanting to "mech-up" and just let me write the fragging smut already.

So I missed the boat about inserting 2007 movie characters, but my brain, the strange thing that it is, did a crossover instead. oh lordy JAG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JAG) it's been ages, hasn't it?

"I'm not really seeing a problem here."

Optimus would have raised an eyebrow if he had any. The semi-trailer was, as the humans put it, flabbergasted. He stared down at the two military officers, both dressed in beige uniforms, the rank insignia giving them away as JAG officers.
"I mean no disrespect Commander...." Optimus started off.
"Rabb." the tall man interjected.
"Commander Rabb, but I consider Decepticons to be a problem. Particularly at a high traffic airbase such as this one." he finished with a waving hand gesture at the sight behind the two humans.
For all appearances, it seemed nothing too out of the ordinary; there was two jets in bright livery parked out on the runway of Miramar naval air base. What made it strange is next to the silver and blue jet was Skywarp stretched out across the tarmac, sunning himself. Optimus was pretty certain Starscream and Thundercracker were taking a stasis nap, of all things in the hot July afternoon.

Commander Rabb and his partner Colonel MacKenzie looked behind them, stared for a minute, then turned back to Optimus Prime.

"They've then there for the past five days and since we arrived and interviewed the base commander, we don't see anything that we could consider the Navy to be concerned about." the Colonel mentioned with a shrug. "For all intents and purposes, they seem to be.....loafing around Miramar, and don't seem too tight lipped about sharing tidbits about Cybertronian technology. In exchange it seems the base staff are giving them a free feed and the occasional wash. Those three aren't being threatening in the least to this base, the US Navy and the American people. "

Optimus huffed a sigh through his vents and resisted the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose.
"Decepticons are not renowned for holding the peace, you do realize that..?"
Colonel MacKenzie got defensive at that and crossed her arms in annoyance.

"And our UCMJ and rules of engagement are that we will not be aggressors in this conflict you have, and until we are fired apon, we will not fire on them."

Commander Rabb then chose then to give his two cents on the matter.
"This is Fightertown after all!", flashing Optimus a grin that reminded him of a seeker, more than a officer of the US military.

Humans.

Optimus faceplamed.

Considering Rabb would use the flimsliest excuse to get into a Tomcat, I feel he's on a seeker wavelength. :D

CAN YOU RESIST THE GRIN

3. Ratchet/First Aid (choose your preferred medic) is captured by the Decepticons.

Dammit, I do not need more fuel for my Decepticon!Ratchet fics. Nor does it help that I have a bunny for a neutral from the very beginning Ratchet hopping around my head demanding attention. *grumbles**grabs bunny and sets it in basket* The fact that they don't have an official medic is not helping matters either.

You know, I now wonder if the Autobots would ever purposely give out certain types of propaganda to the more neutral inclined mechs just to keep them on their side. If so, then Ratchet is going to be one very pissed off medic. I also quite like #2, which is trying to combine with this one, and Ratchet and Mirage are now secretly consulting with each other about either being neutral or becoming fully fledged Decepticons

5. The Decepticons manage to get on good terms with a local military installation.

I am now imagining the entire Animated clone Seeker army hanging out at the same human base. Lugnut and Blitzwing are loitering around the area, too. And it is hilarious.

The brain does go in the oddest directions when one is trying to write smut, doesn't it?

Well, I loved G1 and all, but as an adult and a history lover have often wondered if both sides would have had their own propaganda.

I'd really like to see a kind of propaganda war going on between the two factions, each new newscast responding to the last and sort of evolving as it goes on and how the rumor mill affects it as well. I mean, there are so many ways they could go about it, from the more trying to keep it clean Autobots to the outright manipulation of the Decepticons. Then again, both sides could be doing whatever they could to discredit the other side. Or, like with what we do, try to make the soldiers think of the enemy as lower than animals so they won't feel guilt for killing them and and, dammit another bunny. *sigh* Anyway, one of the cassetticon's (Garboil?) main function is the crafting of stories for public consumption. And as much as I love the Autobots, the recent Movie verse comics are making me even more sympathetic towards the 'Cons. Starscream, you're suppose to be the embodiment of betrayal and treachery, not inspire loyalty in a lowly organic such as myself. Not to mention Megatron Origin, which made me really wanna slap an Autobot.

*snrk!* And the Autobots all wandering around the area with utter 'wtf' expressions on their faceplates. PRICELESS.

Blitzwing is getting along frightfully well with all the humans on base. Prob'ly because there's so many of us that we can keep up with his mood swings. And the humans have made a game out of provoking Lugnut into one of his Megatron speeches, bonus points for how long it is, how many times he says glorious, etc. Starscream, of course, has claimed the base as his own, which the humans are putting up with fairly well, Sunstorm's running around trying to learn everything about everyone so he can be a proper sycophant, Skywarp's hiding somewhere because of all the organics swarming the place and Femmescream is currently racing some of the top pilots and beating the slag out of 'em.
At the same time, Optimus is trying to come up with some sort of motivational speech, because he can make a motivational speech out of anything, slag it all, and this scenario calls for one pit of a speech. Prowl's off by himself (nature and all), Bulkhead is arguing with Liarscream, Bee is arguing with Thundercracker, and Ratchet's just sitting in the back trying to process it all (and having a stiff drink of high grade).

Primus yes!

So, sitting trying to write, what should be a quick pwp, and my brain starts thinking about, of all things, weather patterns on Cybertron. -_- I kid you not, then it goes on about all the different verses and how some have no sun or two moons and the lack of water and whoosh, there goes the smut muse out the window not to be seen for another year. *headdesk*

You have a good point about the propaganda thing. I wrote a fic where the 'cons have been given horrible rumours about the 'bots (started by the 'cons to discourage defections)but yes, propaganda will ALWAYS go two ways. Of course, G1 was written for children, wghich simplified the war as a clear "good vs.evil" war. I love writing about the decepticons actually having morals, feelings or whatever..they are still people, not monsters with no spark.(despite any propaganda suggesting otherwise!) I AM a 'bot fan (I know biased as I'm human and Cons don't seem to LIKE humans.) but I do have that side of me that likes the 'Cons too, and I NEVER saw myself heading towards Starscream Fangirl-ism, but despite my best efforts to stop it..it's happening....

And I'm thinking that Megs Orogin details how the war started, but I feel that over the eons the real reason it started has all been forgotten and the issues they fight over are quite different. After all, I write in Movieverse and Megsy certainly doesn't seem to be fighting for the totally downtrodden there - he just seems to want to conquer and destroy.

And these bunnies have been nibbling at me too. Weird how things work out, really - I read these at least a year ago, and it's only now that they click.

I'll link to these once I finally get to that part of the massive AU.
