katsuko: image of a lighthouse (Transformers // my intentions are good)

I know, I posted one monster of a bunny here, but I've recently had a couple, potential one-shot or off-shoot bunnies from it invade my head.

...oddly enough, when I was trying to write Wave/Screamer porn, but that's not important for the bunnies.

1. Most of the Autobots don't understand how Skyfire, who has been shot at least twice by Starscream, still considers the mech his friend. Skyfire, having seen how both Autobots and Decepticons are approaching the war, understands Starscream's reasons for having done so.

2. Mirage has been accused of being a Decepticon sympathizer a time or two. The fact of the matter is, he's spent so much time spying on the 'cons without them realizing his presence that he really has come to sympathize with them... and occasionally wonders if he made the right decision in joining the Autobots after watching how the 'cons are when they're amongst their own kind.

3. Ratchet/First Aid (choose your preferred medic) is captured by the Decepticons in battle and expects the worse; after all, he's heard all the rumours about his enemy. He's surprised to find, however, that the 'cons treat their prisoners as they would hope that their own soldiers would be treated by the Autobots, and also realizes that these soldiers are struggling simply to survive.

For this one, I somehow have the feeling that the captured medic would choose to remain either as a neutral guest or defect out of a sense of duty - after all, the Autobots are thriving and these mechs are dying by degrees.

4. One of the Decepticons is badly injured in battle and easily captured. Ratchet insists that the mech receive repairs, and is shocked during the exam when he discovers that the prisoner's spark bears the markings of having recently birthed a sparkling. Given the Autobots' views of Decepticons, they automatically assume the worse - that the mech was forced to bear the sparkling for some horrific purpose - and try to talk the prisoner into defecting. They are stunned when the Decepticon states that he'd rather die that betray his cause; secretly he has been in contact with his bondmate the entire time and is patiently awaiting rescue, although he is a bit terrified of what the 'bots may do to him in the meantime.

5. The Decepticons manage to get on good terms with a local military installation - not surprisingly, an air force base - and are able to obtain some small amounts of fuel when needed for the aerial builds. The Autobots discover this and try to "talk some sense" into the base commanders... and are summarily told to mind their own business. Bonus points if any of the 2007 canon military characters are stationed on the base and quite alright with the situation, no matter what universe the total story occurs in (G1, Animated, what-have-you).

I really think I may wind up playing about in this universe some myself, but I want to get a few more prompts cleared from my queue first. Damn the "dominant" prompt and damn Soundwave for not wanting to "mech-up" and just let me write the fragging smut already.

So I missed the boat about inserting 2007 movie characters, but my brain, the strange thing that it is, did a crossover instead. oh lordy JAG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JAG) it's been ages, hasn't it?

"I'm not really seeing a problem here."

Optimus would have raised an eyebrow if he had any. The semi-trailer was, as the humans put it, flabbergasted. He stared down at the two military officers, both dressed in beige uniforms, the rank insignia giving them away as JAG officers.
"I mean no disrespect Commander...." Optimus started off.
"Rabb." the tall man interjected.
"Commander Rabb, but I consider Decepticons to be a problem. Particularly at a high traffic airbase such as this one." he finished with a waving hand gesture at the sight behind the two humans.
For all appearances, it seemed nothing too out of the ordinary; there was two jets in bright livery parked out on the runway of Miramar naval air base. What made it strange is next to the silver and blue jet was Skywarp stretched out across the tarmac, sunning himself. Optimus was pretty certain Starscream and Thundercracker were taking a stasis nap, of all things in the hot July afternoon.

Commander Rabb and his partner Colonel MacKenzie looked behind them, stared for a minute, then turned back to Optimus Prime.

"They've then there for the past five days and since we arrived and interviewed the base commander, we don't see anything that we could consider the Navy to be concerned about." the Colonel mentioned with a shrug. "For all intents and purposes, they seem to be.....loafing around Miramar, and don't seem too tight lipped about sharing tidbits about Cybertronian technology. In exchange it seems the base staff are giving them a free feed and the occasional wash. Those three aren't being threatening in the least to this base, the US Navy and the American people. "

Optimus huffed a sigh through his vents and resisted the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose.
"Decepticons are not renowned for holding the peace, you do realize that..?"
Colonel MacKenzie got defensive at that and crossed her arms in annoyance.

"And our UCMJ and rules of engagement are that we will not be aggressors in this conflict you have, and until we are fired apon, we will not fire on them."

Commander Rabb then chose then to give his two cents on the matter.
"This is Fightertown after all!", flashing Optimus a grin that reminded him of a seeker, more than a officer of the US military.

Humans.

Optimus faceplamed.

Considering Rabb would use the flimsliest excuse to get into a Tomcat, I feel he's on a seeker wavelength. :D
