I’m new here. I watched the original G1 Transformers when it aired and liked it but didn’t really follow the franchise when I got older. Then I got into Transformers Prime and it got me hooked again. I’m rewatching the original series again and I’ve seen some of Armada and Animated. I’ve read tons of fanfiction and I have lots of ideas of my own but I have no time to write them so I thought I’d post some here so maybe someone will find them inspirational.

My grandparents have an old computer that they're giving my brother. Anyways, I saw it at their house the other day, and it spawned a little idea;

Meet Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Tower, and Speaker. The Compubots, a little mini gestalt. Their combined form is PC.

How they came to be, I don't really care. My first thought was Sam the AllSpark came home one day and zapped his computer, but whatever you want! I just think a few household bots would be cool.

There's also the Amuseobots; X-bot, Wii, DVD, VHS, and TV.

(I might write some form of this sometime in the far future, but if it happens, it will definitely be a long time in coming, and the Compubots were driving me crazy, so... here they are. Please, take them off my hands!)

Another one that just came out of nowhere - I had just posted this, so, this is an edit. Now two bunnies. :D

Anyways... An Autobot discovers the Amish culture. Perhaps forcefully -- they crash land in the middle of an Amish community, or something of the like -- or voluntarily, where they read about it somewhere, or somehow learn of it, and decide to visit. Now, we cue lots of confusion -- the Autobots are technology. They run on (sort of) electricity, they use processors, they're machines. yet they're also people. How do the humans react?

Bunny inspired from my last Bunny and from a story I've been reading called the Left Leg. Been pestering me.

1.
Gestalts links are strong but what if for some reason or another they were not? What if you could mix and match them like Lego bricks?

Would be highly amusing to see what new outcomes you can make from them.
Like the ultimate cute gestalt that turns into CUDDLETRON!
FireFlight, First Aid, Breakdown, Scavanger and Swindle. Who on earth would lead that group? And Cuddletron's main attack would be the hug attack!

Also who would lead a gestalt team made of all the gestalt leaders of Scrapper, Motormaster, Silverbolt, Hotspot and Onslaught? There would be a whole load of conflict there.

Speaking of conflict a gestalt made up of all the hotheads. Slingshot, Blades, Brawl, Drag Strip, and Bonecrusher.

Or a gestalt made of the more even tempered and less volatile. Dead End, Skydive, Long Haul, Blast Off and Streetwise.

And then there would be the SUPERDUPERBANANULTIMATOR gestalt of the just plain nuts and oddballs.
Airraid, Mixmaster, Vortex, Wildrider and ummm poor old Groove.

2.
a. If individuals can combine into a gestalt - Could all those gestalts combine again into the Ultimate Gestalt?

B. Omega Supreme or Metroplex were actually a result of this. But the idea was so foreign and the minds too many that all memories of individuality were lost and now they don't even remember being anything but a single entity

The Dinobots don't have a gestalt body but they do act very much like a gestalt. So I've got wondering how would one of them cope when the others are all killed? Would they feel the other dinobots death? Would they whither away in depression? Would they just adapt?

The Aerialbots as a gestalt understand how devastating it would be to lose a member. It would be their worst nightmare. So when during a battle where all but Swoop are killed, their gestalt link aches to help the lone Dinobot. Swoop is a flyer like them after all and they feel that extra kin. So the Aerialbots attempt to pull Swoop into their little group and it does seem to work. But. Swoop cannot join their gestalt fully. Leading to the idea to reformat their 5 way team into a 6 team gestalt.

Swoop's design could easily fit into the overall of   design of Superion. Maybe as a battle mask and wings?

*Sigh*
I had hoped that by dropping off the list last month, I would be able to work on other pieces, and actually get something written.
Alas, it is not to be.

Take the joke with a grain of salt, please (answer at the end)

Why did Ironhide change his armor color from red to black? )

He was tired of all the Red armored/skinned/emotion, Red Neck jokes.

I know, I know.

Bad Joke, (and in poor taste), but *shrug*

Oh joy, Transformer Plot ideas and snippits I can’t work into a story/ficlet at this time.  I want to see them, but keeping them straight (and giving them the attention they deserve) is not possible right now.

WARNING! .... The technical background gets a bit wordy ... )

Well, now that I got these off my chest, maybe I can actually work on the stories that are bouncing around in the attic.  If any of the bunnies attack you, so sorry, but I would like to see the results.

Well do I have a deal for you,

When people think of broken gestalts they normally decide they must kill of a member of generally the Combaticons, Stunticons, or Protectobots. Instead of one of those how about we do a little wiki-diving, like dumpster diving, but generally cleaner.

http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Hauler

The Constructicons are a broken gestalt, have been since Megatron failed to capture and reprogram all of them toward the beginning of the war. Their missing piece, RoadHauler, managed to escape and seek protection under the Autobots. This mech is the only one with the Constructicons full history and memory. This mech was there for the building of the monster that is Megatron.

Just an idea that struck me about how Decepticon society is structured (G1 Seasons 1-2, that is - probably wouldn't work for a lot of other continuities but still interesting to think about.)

cut for rather long bunny )

(Even though there are probably a few reasons for why Gestalts are made in the various canons and how this bunny still nibbled at my brain meats and I'm setting it loose here in case anyone would like it living in their head.)

There were few Gestalts before the war, and even during the war few new gestalts were made. To a lot of newsparks that don't recall the Golden Age of Cybertron it's just a fact of life. To those who knew better they could regale you with the complicated social mess that accompanied the forming of a new gestalt.

For you see, the programing and initial set up for the physical modifications for such a choice is present in quite a few mechs. They just never utilize it because of what doing so would entail. First there was the whole figuring out just who it was that was going to be part of your team, showing interest in them for such, and even various methods of bullying or wooing to get your chosen gestaltmates to agree. An especially complicated and time consuming act if there was another team eyeballing the same mech as you for their team. Then there was figuring out who would be the leader and thus center for the team, which component of the combined form everyone would be, and then going through the process of becoming a proper gestalt and pretty much agreeing to never having a private thought again for the rest of their natural lives.

A very trying and emotionally charged adventure, and why the older gestalts had to fight the urge to smack the war sparked one when those ones started bickering amongst themselves and saying they wanted a different team.

...it does strange things to my bunnies... And, yes, I know some of them are long *cough*5*cough*; I just couldn't figure out how to shorten them without leaving something out.

1. Devastator snarled, massive mismatched claws curling around the battered form of the Seeker, acid green optics flaring in a toxic combination of rage and hate, as he searched for the foolish being who had dared to damage what was his. The broken flyer, one proud wings now tattered and dirty, was clutched protectively against a massive yellow chest as the gestalt waged war upon Autobots and humans alike, Decepticon forces wisely parting before him.

2. Sam liked this song, he wasn’t sure why, but it reminded him of that feeling he got when Starscream was feeling playfully rebellious against something…

3. They barged back into the room, movements frantic, to find Shockwave, hands still bound, standing of the writhing form of the Seeker as Starscream tried to dislodge himself from the medical berth he was bound to. Energon and fluids stained the berth and floor below as the struggling mech practically jerked his right shoulder and hip joints out in a frenzied attempt to roll away from the silent, unmoving mech standing over him, screaming at audio-splitting volumes all the while.

4. He watched his leader fall with apathetic optics; the Cube was gone, Cybertron was dead, as were his wing-mates, and the Autobots had a new little home to call their own. What was there left to fight for?

5. The insect-like symbiote scurried along the sand dunes, dodging another blast from Ironhide’s cannons, until it disappeared over a dune with a series of frantic sounding chirps. Cursing enough to make even a resident of Kaon blush Ironhide followed, reaching the shifting hills crest, and almost sliding down the mound of sand’s other side in his shock. There lay Starscream, silver plated body partially covered in crystalline sand grains and showing no signs of life despite Scorponok’s incessant nudging of his exposed wing and arm. A particularly hard prod finally earned a flicker of light within the jet’s dark optics, causing the smaller ‘Con to churr impatiently and wave its claws about before the other’s face plates. ‘I know little one; I need to get you out of here, get you food, shh,’ Starscream’s mumbled reassurance was followed by an attempt to rise which left Ironhide gritting his dentals at the sounds of grinding gears and locked hydraulics it produced, ‘I’m trying.’

6. 'Jambi' (Tool) + Megatron x Starscream or Megatron x Optimus
